This part of the article is impressive for St. Bonaventure:
Given they're at home and way more rested than La salle for this game this is one time La salle will be better off next year when they have 3 big men available, with Washington, and probably a deeper guard bench.

They're gonna wear us down. Bonnies by 12.

The only thing that really wears me down is the negative attitude displayed at times. Look at various rpi rankings. LaSalle/Bonnies 67/82 66/93 76/74 79/82 They are favored by 1 to 2.5 as it is their court.

Looking purely at stats, it is hard to believe the Explorers are manhandled regardless of travel conditions.

Its going to be tough, we easily could lose. Olean a tough place to play but I have the feeling we're going to pull this one out. Keep the faith.

I predicted a GW victory. That was it. And that was warranted after the way we played early on this year, and the game was a Pick Em. Other than that, I don't think I've been negative at all. I'll let my track record in picking games speak for itself.

I pick that there's going to be a basketball game tonight.

I could see us losing tonight and winning on Saturday against VCU. That would obviously help our resume at the end of the year. So I'd sign up for that! However, I don't want this streak to end. Especially since DurenDuren claimed I was "drunk" when I predicted (after the Penn State game) that this team had a 6 - 7 game win streak in them!

I'd take the Bonnies side tonight if I were betting but 100% because of the travel mess. Just not cool.

I am not predicting anything because when it comes to La Salle B-Ball when I do this the opposite usually happens. Taking them 1 at a time, tonight's game is a nice opportunity. This sure would be a nice statement victory-- stating about where we intend to be in the A 10 standings. And also give a shot in the arm to the RPI. Would love to see the whole squad play hard nose D for 40 min. Jerrell and Tyrone have the potential for some dominating O. Tonight would be a nice time for each to step it up. I certainly expect Tyreek to be there but time for our other stars to bring some heat on the O........bring this win home. I won't predict, but I won't concede. The Bonnies may be good but they aren't Nova and come to think of it they ain't us. Overall I like our personnel better. I view Jerrell and Tyrone as potential stars. And speaking of Nova, boy did they look mortal when the opposition could rain the 3's the other night.

83 it is OK to pick against us but the negative comments stem from the 12 point margin. Bonnies have played a very difficult A10 schedule to date and that in conjunction with tough travels for Explos would seem to indicate that we are in for a rough night. If we pull this game out we beat VCU. Bonnies 75-72 with verdict being decided in last minute of play. If we shoot 40% or better from three land we win 78-74. Man talk about being decisive.

I was at the UD/VCU game last night. VCU is scary good. A win against VCU will offset this loss big time.

If we play the way we did last night against VCU we will definitely lose by 15+ points on Saturday. Still can't believe the effort that was displayed yesterday against a team like St. Bonaventure. To be outplayed the way we were was bad.

There is not doubt that we played badly to say the least. The RPI difference between us and the Bonnies was not that large and depending on which one you looked at it who was better varied. The rpi difference was much greater between UMass-Richmong and SLU - Duquesne. I think the travails of getting there did not help. Take a charter flight, no take the bus. Leave LaSalle about noon yesterday, now turn back and hang out at Hayman for hours. Leave at 7:30 at night and get in at 2:00. I believe that had some affect on their level of play. Give the Bonnies their due but hopefully this is a blip. In all of the win/loss projection we were not picked to win this game. It is not the losing that is so bad it was the level of play that was painful. Saturday will be telling.

Last year, this team barely escaped with a win and the Bonnies are much better compared to last. I expected a loss because of the travel mostly but also because the Bonnies are a decent team regardless of their record. I just didn't expect the team to play so flat and it if sync. To me, that was the most disappointing pay off the game. However, their play is not indicative at all of how good they are. It's a loss, time to let it go and focus on VCU. That's how on hope they are looking at it... Can't dwell on the past

It's a loss now we need to move on. I know a lot of you don't want to believe it but the travel circumstances made an already difficult game more difficult. We all knew this would be a challenge and we played poorly. Can't dwell on it...I would hope that Sam gets some early looks against VCU to get his confidence back up after this game...
