@bonnies VCU @gw Dusquesne @umass
Could be very telling of the team and how they'll be the rest of the season.

And throw in some snow to make travel a little more difficult!

That is too bad. I want all teams at their best. Also to make GW a force at tournament time. Hope he gets better.

That's some garbage for GW. Feel like that'll still be a real close one down there, feel like they always play us close in DC.

Never like to see a player go down but I can't help but think back to when we beat Butler without Clarke. They are still a tournament team, still will be a tough team to play but it gives us even more of an advantage in the guard position.
Also this is probably more of a 6 game stretch for La Salle with Saint Louis at home after the @umass game.

One game at a time. Need to focus on getting to Olean, getting a good nights sleep at the Olean Motor Inn, and playing our brand of ball against a tough home court for the Bonnies. If we are staying overnight, hopefully our guys will resist the temptation of the Olean NY night life.

Zack just tweeted that their chartered flight is cancelled and about to hop on a bus. Woof.

I am in Chicago but from what I hear about the weather on the east coast I am suprised this game has not been cancelled give the distance LaSalle needs to travel to get there and now by bus. Not safe.

Per source in AD office, TBD on the bus to Olean at this point.

It is never an easy trip up there. Go figure, they have a chartered flight and still is a pain. The most important thing is that they have a charter flight coming home with VCU on Saturday...

Not safe. Game won't be postponed unless one team, obviously La Salle in this case, can't get to the visiting site in a reasonable amount of time. Theoretically, if they got a charter around noon tomorrow, the game would still be played tomorrow night. If city where game is being played has very poor travel, that would also cause postponing.

The school is closing at 12:30 today. Based on above I get the impression that the bus trip is off, wise move, and they may take a charter tomorrow. Seems iffy. Thanks for the updates. Not bad snow here, just 7 degrees.

I am hearing the team has already left. Only about 50 miles northwest it isn't snowing. I don't think it is going to be much of a problem this game will happen.

Only about 50 miles northwest it isn't snowing. Odds are I'll still be in traffic come game time at this rate.

That may be true A10, but I heard a dude needed 2 hours to go from one Bala Plaza to 76/202/422 interchange so they may still be in the Conshy area if they went that way, or at the turnpike/309 interchange if they went backroads in that direction.

If they didn't leave early early, they're pretty much screwed until they get out to the weird, redneck counties. Taken me exactly 1 hour to go from 32nd street to 11th Street downtown. Side note: I've ditched my mazda around Chinatown if anyone's trying to get a free car.

Curious about the bus route. Logically perhaps up the Turnpike extension to Scranton and then north, but that way you might parallel the edge of the storm. Perhaps the Turnpike west to Reading, like we did driving to Albright to see La Salle varsity and freshman teams play Albright's in the last milennium, and drive up that big hill with the Chinese Restaurant by it. That way the bus would probably skirt the storm, drive past Williamsport and Wellsboro into New York.

I think we've reached that spot when our fandom is borderline unhealthy. We're discussing bus routes like this is normal, myself included.

Philadelphia's public transportation system is just fine! I hope to god you're sarcastic. I'm losing my shit here. And if I'm unhappy, everyone needs to be miserable. Where's our upstate New Yorkers? They're due to come in here and call us pathetic any minute now.

I get accused if living upstate, although a quick look at a map of New York should disabuse of that notion, but Olean is a whole different ball game. That's really Western New York. For what it's worth, it's bad here in New York City and at my home in Poughkeepsie. Think it's bad all over.

Easily my least favorite part of being from Poughkeepsie is the whole "you're upstate" from NYCers and "you're not upstate" from upstaters. I've taken to "downstate". Good enough.

To get to Olean, don't you need to procure a mint condition DeLorean, go 88 mph's, and channel your inner Hannibal by crossing the Catskills on an elephant's back?
