Congratulations to Coach G and all Explorers on a well executed game plan and a great victory from a worthy opponent. I think a lot of people may see the score and have a hard time appreciating how dangerous Duquesne is this year, but La Salle neutralized them at every position. Mr Zack has done some tremendous things and I especially like his consistent rebounding. All the guys look like they've been working tirelessly to make great things happen for La Salle. I see it all coming together at the right time again. As an alumnus, it is very fun to watch and appreciate.

Hykos well stated and yes the team clearly looks different that just three or four weeks ago. As long as team stays for the most part injury free the remainder of the season the team will win a good amount of games on the schedule. It may take winning the A10 to make NCAA tourney but even if they don't the NIT is well within their grasp and would not be a bad alternative based on how they started. Beat RI next and then finally get the Owls which will not be an easy game.

Yeah, I feel like there's a noticeable difference in the quality of play lately. Not sure how far that carries us, because of all the OOC losses, but if nothing else, I'm really enjoying the games again. We have an opportunity to turn this season around.

Agreed, but...
This Duquesne game wasn't a compete 40 minutes of domination. They're much better than last years 8 win squad, but we only played 25 minutes of great ball. First 15 minutes were really bad, TO City. Do that against most A10 squads and you've dug a hole too deep.
Last two games are something to build off, but I'm not about to plant my lips on Giannini's ass quite yet because we were supposed to be at this level all season.

If I'm going to be completely honest, I napped through the first half and turned the game on at halftime. Sounds like our team woke up at about the same time.

Most kids like to run. This game gave our squad a chance to run. In first half, did not go so well-especially first 15 min. Against a good GW team, we played under control and won. Today, in second half, under control and pulled away. Perhaps a lesson learned. I said this right after GW game. Its not that we cannot run, and we should when we have the numbers. Just do not force it. Value the ball, as Coach Cheney would say. Today, a great second half and a nice win over an athletic team on their court. Lets build on it.

I agree Screamer. John Chaney preached having less then 10 turn overs a game and control the tempo. G did a nice job of coaching. We are healthy and starting to gel. Let's take them down one at a time but I sense a different Attitude with this team. If we continue to hit the open shot we will be tough to beat. We beat the zone two games in a row now. Let's keep getting better. Nice win... Next.

Loving the team that is playing in 2014 even more compared to the team that was playing for us in 2013. That's a testament to G and the team for the work they put in during the down time. Hopefully it keeps up

Very happy with how the explorers have been playing. No need to comment on the players too much because it has all already been said. Shooting looks emendely improved. Zack is leading the A10 in rebounding and in top ten in the nation for double doubles.
One game at a time, URI doesn't stand a chance in the gola. Keep the faith!
