Still not a complete performance, but this is by far the best team we've beaten so far and I have to believe winning at the Garden will have a positive impact mentally.

Did I just catch Brennan picking his nose on television? Pretty much. He has no shame.

Lousy win over an inferior team. La Salle is in a lot of trouble next Sunday against Villanova.
The way La Salle looks at this point, I almost think I'd rather go into a season with Stony Brook's team. They're far more disciplined, run an actual patterned offense, play defense. Our guys play street ball and the same old "Swiss Cheese Defense."
A LOT of trouble next Sunday.

Gutted out a win. They shot better. Set up their defense. Our bugs stepped up. DJ stepped up.

Solid win. Second half was much better play albeit a couple of head scratchers but far better than the first half. Credit to the team for making adjustments and making some shots. Most of Jerrell's shots in second half was within the flow of offense and that makes all the difference.
Need to keep building on that performance.

This is my Homer Simpson "Doh!" moment. For some reason I thought the game started at 1:00 and not 11:00. I'm doubly pissed because both Comcast Sports and SNY Sports blacked the game out ion my region (central jersey).

We are wilting. 3;30 left Just do not seem to know how to win. it is the little things like hitting fouls and not choking. Want to take this post back?

Happy to get the win. Won't be easy this year. Congrats to Zack on his 4th straight double-double.

I'll make the mental decision to block out the 1st half and remember the comeback and a win at Madison Square Garden. Time off to prepare for Nova and the start to Big 5 season

Al at this point very few if any are expecting the Explorers to have any chance at winning but at least they came out and played a good second half today. If team can shoot at a descent percentage this season will not be a total loss and team could end up in NIT with 18 or 19 wins. We lost two or three winnable games and that is very difficult to overcome unless by some miracle we all of the sudden gel into a quality shooting team. If we do end up in NIT although not what we expected going into season it would hardly be a disaster. Hope for the best but have to be realistic at the same time.

Even though we had a rough first half was really impressed with them in the second half.
Zack and Wright are a hell of a combo. Things are functioning better offensively shots just got to drop from behind the arc.
Defensively we are better as well.
Don't know why anyone being really negative were improving and if we play the way we did in the second half the entire game we have a chance against Nova.

Bring on Nova. We always play them close. Despite 9 games of mixed butthole, Big 5 games are a different beast. We're the team with nothing to lose.

Side Note: Gonzo released his City 6 rankings last night on that Big Man on Campus show or whatever. Put Nova and La Salle at the one and two spots respectively. Still have fans.

Of course there's such a thing as a "lousy win." If the 76ers beat a high school team by 8 points, that's a LOUSY WIN. If an Atlantic 10 team that has the bulk of their NCAA "Sweet 16" team back for another year beats a team from the America East Conference (with "juggernaut" programs like Albany, Maine, University of Maryland at Baltimore County....) by less than 25 points - looks completely disorganized doing it -...................that's a LOUSY WIN. A "solid program" in the America East is NOT the same as Virginia Commonwealth, St. Louis, George Mason, .... it's a program you SHOULD be able to beat by 20+ even on your WORST day.

duren played a full game and we completed a comeback victory at MSG. DJ started knocking em down and Zack had his 4th double double in a row with 0 before this year. HUGE!
I can go on enjoying a full day after a win and am happy for our guys to have this to hang their hats on!
cheers to the win. I agree SB is a well coached, disciplined team that should win their conference.

There is nothing wrong with the offense other than shots don't fall. They missed a ton of good looks in tr first half. They made those looks in the second -- in particular Jerrell and DJ and Garland. They also got a bunch of turnovers and didn't make too many on their end.
Rohan gave them a few big spells. Great hustle.
Duren is off. It's clear to see he is either hurt or in a funk. It will come. He's one of the best point guards anywhere.
Bring on Nova!

"Fantasyland" might be a nice place to visit, but it's not looking at things objectively or living in the real world.

News Flash George Mason is not good whatsoever.
It is negativity the team improving we weren't going to come out of the gate blowing teams out especially with the adjustment without Galloway. We are the hunted not the hunter anymore.
VCU kept it really close against Eastern Kentucky. Is that a lousy win since there in the Ohio Valley, NO because Eastern Kentucky has a good squad.

You're right, I'm wrong......it's a complete fabrication that the Atlantic 10 pre-season coaches poll picked La Salle to finish 3rd THIS year, based upon the fact they had the majority of an experienced roster coming back. It's ALL POSITIVE and WONDERFUL!
