What sounds better and more factual, House of Congress or Bunch of Slimballs. Please don't go bringing the Hawks into this discussion. Washington is low enough without having to go even lower.

It is pretty frustrating that both Philahoops and the cityofbasketballlove don't have previews or ANY update on La Salle. Duren is one of the best players in the city if not THE best why the hell haven't you contacted G yet regarding Duren status. It is ridiculous. I know I am anxious but Aaron Bracy is such a fraud and anytime he doesn't have to give la salle credit he won't. COMPLETE Drexel homer and completely biased. I usually like Josh Verlin he writes some pretty good previews but I would have thought he would have had one written and posted by now. Our game is a 11am at the MSG and no preview by anyone but go explorers. Insulting to be honest

I have to say I categorically, and emphatically, disagree with your criticisms of philahoops specifically. Regarding Duren, it's college; they won't tell you anything if they don't have to on an injury. And I don't agree with the motives you ascribe to everyone with that site. That site has been an absolute Godsend for Philly college basketball fans.

Putting the medical redshirt tag makes a lot of sense. George Beamon did it last January and his return made Manhattan a quick favorite as Beamon was able to play with newly transfered players. It would be interesting to see Duren paired with scorer Cleon Roberts next year if he did redshirt. In order for the redshirt to happen though, Duren has to be declared gone for the rest of the season. Is G AND Duren prepared to do that?

Have to say, tyreek's tweets don't give any indication he is hurt, or bummed out about it.

I just saw via twitter that Duren has a stress factor and is walking in a boot. Honestly I had a lot of hope but our season is over without Duren. I knew something was wrong in the Hartford game. This is awful news and I know this board is going to flip. Where on twitter?

He just tweeted that reports of his demise are exaggerated. Time to change the title of the thread

Based on the tweet from Duren I suspect the walking boot was to give his plantar a rest. With the boot u do not flex your foot and stress it. Assuming he plays I would think u may see him in the boot again.

Bracy went to Joe's. And I think it is ludicrous that you call him anti-La Salle because he has been very good at providing all six teams with coverage and he had our beat covered very well until he had Joe and Josh take it over at various junctures. And you can tell he respects G and the players and enjoyed our NIT and Sweet16 runs just like the rest of us. Stop getting bent out of shape over a blog. You're acting like that Temple fan that didn't want to concede player of the week on any blog in any week that Temple was playing. It doesn't matter, fool! A water balloon is heading your way, I don't care if it is my last one.

Philahoops can't be hung for not reporting a story in which there are ZERO details. They've done tons for basketball in this city.
Still thinking this story might be generated by some uninformed college student overly eager to break the story to help her catch her "big break." It's a dog eat dog world, I get that, but Tyreek would be on strict orders not to discuss talk of MRI's, stress fractures, etc.

I would agree that I cannot see Philahoops reporting on a rumor. However it is interesting to see that every team in city with a game today has a preview but not LaSalle.

Giannini confirms its plantar and not a stress fracture. Says that he has had it for some time and got it checked out by a specialist after the Hartford game. Has not practiced. They're hoping he can get healthy with the break.

Duren is a shell of the player he has been for the program and that obviously hurt our performance as a team. Hopefully they can get him healthy during the break because we need him.
I would rest him against Nova and Wagner because the outcomes of those games will probably be the same with or without him and the extra 10 days could really help him.

Mik not a bad idea on resting Tyreek but he will want to play so it will be difficult keeping him out of lineup.

I don't suspect this plantar fasciitis deal is going to disappear until the offseason. At best, they can minimize it but I'd venture that it's going to linger all season. Play him at the Ski Lodge.

I have plantar fasciitis, it doesn't go away without longterm treatment. I imagine his podiatrist will create a therapeutic insert for his shoe designed to rebuild the arch. Basically the ligament in his foot is stretched to its limit and needs time to rebuild itself.

I had the opposite, not faciitis but a fascia strain or something. Brutal for like 4-5 days then completely normal after 8-9. Let's root for Duren to be the injury and not the condition.
