I know it's football but congrats to Fordham for beating Villanova and Temple in consecutive weeks. Especially Temple.

Know Oregon State and K State have fallen victim to those "second tier" teams also this season, but that was a huge blow to Temple. Everyone thought they'd come in and push the Rams around.
Congrats to Fordham.

It just grates on me that my tax dollars support Temple football. If you live in the Phila area, you've no doubt seen the advertising blitz they've put out on TV, in newspaper ads, and on electronic billboards on this year's Temple team. What a colossal waste of money. It's even worse than the ridiculous campaign they did a couple years ago promoting Bernard Pierce for the Heisman Trophy which he had zero shot at.

Kudos on the Bernard Pierce Campaign. Interesting view, and painfully accurate. Don't know if I chalk this up to the coaching change, simply just not being good enough, or some combination?
Villanova then Tenple proves Fordham is no joke, but Temple is still bad.

Philadelphia is not and never will be a college football town. College hoops? Absolutely, but even if the Eagles are 1-15, Temple will never be the star football attraction. People are always going to be PSU or ND fans around here before they are Temple Football fans.
I know it's a money-grab for them, but I agree with KJ, all this talk about how Philly public schools need funding and we are inundated with #ItBegins instead.

Talk recently of building a football stadium on North Broad. This will probably never materialize in this economy and TU will continue to lease the Linc for home games. In the distant future, I hope not a dime of Commonwealth tax dollars is offered for this pipe dream.
