www.vegasinsider.com/college-basketball/odds/las-vegas/According to vegas insider, the line opened at 10.5 and has dropped to 7.5 right now. Considering four points for the Gola advantage, I think the line is right on the money. If JW is 100%, I like taking La Salle in this one.

In his podcast, Doc thought he would be fine. Sam should also be 100%

I thought the line might be -5.5. Not enough spread for a wager either way if vegas has it -7.5.

Delaware blowing out Penn by 22, 13 minutes left, in Virginia.

Penn---- Deleware sounded like a blow out 84 to 69 final.

Delaware is about to beat UVA - I think that's going to be a quality win for our squad

I love early out of conference wins where we can become fans of them the rest of the year helping out that RPI

Delaware is about to beat UVA - I think that's going to be a quality win for our squad While Miami (FL) goes down to FGC (Florida Gulf Coast). St Leo's film anyone?

Miami will be returning from a Hawaii Trip and gearing up for their first ACC game when we play them. Feels like the perfect scenario for our guys to pull out the Win on the road. Plus, if they keep losing to those kinds of teams, there's no excuse for our guys not to win.

But it makes a win vs them much less meaningful.

Good for Delaware. Monte get an ACC team on their court. Huge.
Where was UVA picked to finish in ACC preseason poll?
Saw 2nd half of VCU game. Have to say I saw a lot of similarities to La Salle in VCU's game. Riddic is a difference maker however. Keep an eye on their FT shooting. It was awful last night. Shaka knows how to work his crowd and the refs. Tough place to play in the future.
Is Butler as bad as the looked and is X better than we expected. I don't know but the next couple of weeks should be interesting.
I don't know what to make of UMASS win over Harvard. Harvard isn't the same team after losing two key starters due to cheating scandal.

umass still plays out of control. The disciplined/less talented/short-handed team almost took them down on their homecourt. But, its a looooong season.

Was wondering that myself. X wasn't doing a whole lot to make Butler look bad so I tend to think Butler might just not be that good.

But it makes a win vs them much less meaningful. Agreed, making a loss against them even worse. Key to this season is to win as many games as possible all year. The shame of it is that we really have no games we can afford to lose in the OOC anymore. The UDel win was great, but the next "best" opponents (Nova, PSU, Miami) aren't anything to get overly excited about from an RPI standpoint, but we need to win to help the broad perception of the program. Then on the flp side, road games against Siena & Bucknell aren't likely going to be RPI killers if we lose but total destroy credibility from a perception standpoint. So really, the team needs to be undefeated OOC. which isn't going to happen. Which is a shame because either there won't be fan support or we will be left out of the Big Dance.

Of course the key to the season is to win as many games as possible..."you play to win the game!" Sorry - the Herm Edwards reference was too good to pass up... I'll disagree with you on any possible wins over the next 3 opponents. It may not help with RPI, but it does help with perception. Recruits don't get excited or talk about RPI, they want to know who you play and who you beat.

That's my point, big picture is we're screwed if we lose any games because we need to win the "name" games for perception's sake and we absolutely cannot lose the Bucknell/Siena/Iona because that will have as much of a negative impact on the perception as winning the Miami/Nova/PSU games will have a positive impact. if we win the Bucknell/Siena/Iona games, no one will even notice...lose those games and it will be "see, same old La Salle"
