Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, 76, Italian -Argentine and Jesuit elected Pope. According to reports, he looks to be a champion of the poor around the world. Seems like a good choice.
Fellow La Sallian thoughts?

In the mid 1960's the Rams had a pretty good wide receiver named Bucky Pope. I always wondered if he became Pope would he be Pope Bucky The First or Pope Pope The First.
Thank God the throng of faithful at St. Peter's Square didn't start chanting "Taco Bell." That would have really sent Keith Pompey into a tizzy.

Probably says "The Infallible Jesuit" and hangs right next to "The 'Perfect' Season" banner.

I'm sure they'll claim the vote was unanimous
