My buddy split his head open falling down the steps in my apartment and needed stitches. We waited at Germantown next to a guy who was handcuffed and covered in blood that was not his own.

Yeah, they brought in two guys who were shot while I was at Einstein that night. Made me kind of embarrassed, like, "I came in for this?"

Randy the SDR at the townhouses and E&F who let me in for 3 years after I graduated without hesitation and would always buzz me through when I was black out drunk and actually went to school there
The breakfast duo and B&G working the grill - some tiny Russian lady and I can't remember the dudes name but I have never been able to get eggs like those since I left

Having an old beater car. Having it stall out. Leaving it on the sidewalk in front of Good Shepherd for a week so I could save up $40 from my campus job to buy the part I needed. Seeing my car go completely untouched on a sidewalk for a week.

The fact that I never had to pay back those ridiculous parking tickets from freshman year. Drunken Halo games. Geff Kelly True parking ticket story. I had one friend whose hobby was menacing security guards via his parking habits. He would park his car in handicapped spots, in front of hydrants, in faculty spots, the sidewalk in front of the Townhouses, etc. He went out of his way to get parking tickets. He would rip the parking tickets apart and MAIL them to security with taunting notes. Anyways, one day, he goes to get his car only to discover they placed THE BOOT around his wheel. His response? He recruited a few of our friends, jacked up the car, deflated his tire and pushed his car off campus. He then put The Boot on the wall in his living room at TC. We walked past the parking lot and security legit placed tickets on EVERYONE'S car for the dumbest of reasons. They were on a warpath. My friend decided to have a celebratory party that night with The Boot the star of the show. Low and behold, the fire alarm goes off and security comes and sees The Boot. He came up with some lie about finding it on the ground. He got in a ton of trouble but was dropping out anyways so didn't care.

20th beat me to it but...shout out to Wister Mike! There were rumors he was shot dead, let it be known this never occurred. I was fortunate enough to hang out with him one night after he closed his shop.
Oh, and let's do it for Fox the 2nd Denis janitor who was brutally robbed at his home last week. The story was on local Cbs or ABC need...he cleaned up literally tons of puke, trash, and alcohol. God bless Fox and go LSU!

The one-legged bum who sometimes fakes additional ailments, like blindness, to get more beer and $ off college kids.
The security guard with a mustache in the early 2000s who took his job just a little too seriously!
The Manor apartments from 2001-2003!
Crack alley!

Not once but TWICE being on campus lockdown because of police officer shootings. Anytime you had to go to the ER at Germantown. I went to ER at Einstein because of food poisoning I got at Treetops. So dehydrated I was delirious. Not sure that belongs in a pump up thread, but had to mention after reading that. It depends. Did they pump your stomach? I get the same feeling when we lose to St Joes or Penn in ANY sport.

SLU will be a tough game but I honestly think the Explorers can take them. Ramon & Tyreek will need to have big games to lead La Salle to victory but both have looked great as of late. This is going to be a great gauge of where La Salle is at heading into tournament time.

A couple years ago I didn't give us much of a chance against SLU on their Senior Day and we won so I can't wait. My wife and I will be at the game and really hoping to see something special

I miss the people the most. Especially the off campus characters. Kenny at Mario's was my boy. Hot Dog at Olney Steak and Beer never failed to crack me up whenever I walked in there to buy beer when I was 20. Good people.

I was fond of the 60-40 Women to Men ratio. It seemed pretty damn noticeable to me, too.

I also loved when the weather would finally warm up after Spring break and suddenly the new crop of female students that must've been bussed in from another parallel La Salle dimension would reappear on campus and make going to class so much better. To this day, i remain convinced that from 11/1 - 3/15 there were different girls that went to La Salle than from 8/25 - 10/31 and 3/16 - 5/15

The security report in The Collegian, particularly the one about someone having a damaged inflatable alligator.
The bus parties wren't my scene. But I sure did love when the bus parties returned and dropped off about 100-200 kids who were drunker than they ever had been in their lives all at once.
The weird looks and sense of panic you'd get from everyone when you told them you lived in Neumann.
Wondering who this new cute girl on campus is and realizing it's a girl from Central cutting across campus for some reason.

Also, I will fess up to being a hipster. (On a scale: Compared to REAL hipsters I'm far from one since I live in Roxborough, voted Republican and will never ride a bike. However, compared to more mainstream folks, I own a lot of indie and punk and love Wes Anderson.)
In the mid/late 90s, La Salle was legitimately one of the premier concert venues for indie/punk music in the city. There was a club BackPAC that my friends pretty much ran. The school gave BackPAC a ton of money to book bands and other things. This was outside the confines of "school books dumb magician" that you'd usually see. So we'd have these really big (for indie standards) bands come through regularly.
The most well-known name was probably Less Than Jake. But we also had the Archers of Loaf, The Promise Ring and a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting. I also think Atom & His Package's first or second show was at Backstage.
Every other weekend was a great show right there on campus.
This probably means nothing to 99.9% of you but it was a great time to be able to have access to all of that. My friends and I were really not into the frat stuff but this gave us a way to have our own little scene on campus. It was also a really good recruiting tool since a lot of high school kids came to those shows and ended up at La Salle.
And, yes, shockingly we all loved basketball.

Buns and Burgers story mid-1980s...
Me and my Quad-mates in St. Katherine's wanted to be the first to use the outdoor BBQ grills to impress our girl friends... but didn't have the funds to buy anything but the booze and some charcoal. Luckily we worked for food service at the Union building. We needed to go down to the cage to get supplies for upstairs so the manager gave my roommate the keys and he loaded up a couple of the boxes that had contained cups and placed them outside near the dumpster. We took the supplies we needed upstairs to the Union dining area and finished out our shift.
After the shift we went and got my rusty mid 70's car and told security on main campus that we had to pick-up supplies for the North Dorms caf. The guard saw our food service shirts and let us through. We drove to the dumpster and loaded the box in the car and drove out without any problems.
We ended up feeding literally 100 fellow students in the quad, we had burgers and dogs. We played some volleyball, made some new friends and everyone had a blast. Let the good times roll!
