Gotta love the fact that every 4 minutes, ESPN mentions that if Nova wins over GTown they have to be in the tournament...
This has to be the worst played for a #5 in the country... 20 turnovers with 11 minutes left

Garland air balled a foul shot, then recovered the second.

This is the perfect team for us to be playing tonight without Zack. Perfect! Now, lets hope the big guy gets back for Brooklyn.

FINAL. 84-70 La Salle.
However this plays out the next 10 days remains to be seen. But we absolutely will be watching the Selection Show with at least some hope, no matter what.

So..based on this game.. is it reasonable to think we have a shot in St. Loo on Saturday?

32 minutes out of Wright by the way...with only 2 fouls.

Perfect finale to Ramon's time at Tom Gola Arena. He won't play here again.. and I feel completely okay saying that. One more win would relieve a lot of the stress... but this is a tournament team. Let's end all doubt and beat St. Louis Saturday!

Really hope Steve is back for the conference tournament, we definitely need him. The rebound differential was atrocious - worse than usual by a lot. But I feel a lot better now than I did coming into this game. I was really worried we'd lose tonight and get rolled on Saturday. We'll need to absolutely shoot the lights out for 40 minutes.

If St. Louis wins tonight they'd wrap up the A10 regular season, so maybe they have a bit of a letdown. It certainly is possible. Obviously we need to shoot extremely well and get most of the bounces - but they're not unbeatable...

If we follow the same pattern as Nova then we beat ranked SLU on Saturday.

We don't follow the same pattern as Nova. We've also beaten bad teams.

Just got home. Awesome game on the offensive end. Obviously you don't want to give up that many points on the interior but the d's man strategy is to keep a team from making 3s. They did that ridiculously well.
Ramon is the best. Tyreek seemed like he had a quiet night and ended up with 19 and 7. Jerrell was a beast getting position. They can beat St. Louis if they remain this hot shooting the ball.

Home from game. Nice work by the screamer, but I thought he could've come up with something about GW wasting three timeouts in first half.
Interior defense was awful without Zack. Get well FAST, Steve.
One major issue with refs. There may have been 7 or 8 fouls the entire first half, then that many in first seven minutes of second half. Consistency is all I ask.

Haven't read the thread in its entirety, so if I am repeating something my bad.
Watching the game last night, 5 big things struck me
1) Jerrell played very good D without getting into foul trouble. We were outrebounded and gave up points in the paint due to people Jerrell was not covering. He also played nice help D where he could, but DID NOT make bad judgments/commit silly fouls. I hope he can continue this.
2) Ramon creates a lot of offense off of the dogged defensive pressure he brings. Awesome.
3) Tyreke makes really good decisons with the ball and off ball.
4) Sam is a terrific defender who can stop BCS level scoring machines
5) Tyrone has killer moves and is a serious ankle breaker.
If we take care of business through the A10 tourney and control our destiny to the big dance, we have the talent AND chemistry to make some noise. Let's take care of A10 tourney business first.

We haven't talked nearly enough about that crazy no-look behind the neck pass Ramon made and the crossover step-back three from Garland.
Two of the best plays of the year.

I literally stood on the seat in front of me when he made that play - that was the best play I've ever seen in person at La Salle. It was absolutely awesome and not getting enough credit. That pass was in traffic, no look with a guy on the move not standing still waiting for the ball. That was sick.

That was a crazy, crazy pass from Ramon to Jerrell. It happened so fast and it was such a weird angle that I thought the ball had been tipped from his hands and it landed in Jerrell's. They showed the replay on the big board and it was a thing of beauty. Just an amazing pass. There were a lot of "wtf?" moments for GW yesterday when we seemed to be literally scoring at will from all kinds of angles.

That pass was ridunkulous! I also love how Ramon birddogs a dribbler full court so that by the time he tries to make a play on the offensive end, he's spent and coughs up a stupid turnover. That happened last night and led to a runout dunk by Mon. Ramon also had a sweet runner that he finished "with a kiss"
Tyrone caused the GW D to leave (on multiple occasions) "lingerie on the deck."
