Yeah I dunno named doesn’t really make sense… Outlaws really have no ties at all to La Salle… but Explorer Entourage didn’t either.. At least get a name where you can weave the history of the school, de La Salle, Christian Brothers, Germantown, or, at the very least, tie in a current/pop culture events that is hip with the times, or at the very very least, a word that describes wild and crazy supportive student/fans, etc… Outlaws just doesn’t make much sense… in the context of the school, its history or the founders… But if the kids chose Outlaws and they support it and THEY WILL SHOW UP and hey let’s go.. I am game! Definitely have to disagree on the part about referencing current pop culture, unless you want to change the name every 2-3 years. Hip don't stay hip for long.

"The Olney Outlaws is a unique name that I think is going to fit our school perfectly," junior women's water polo student-athlete and President of the Olney Outlaws Paige Mitchell said.
Fits the school perfectly? Kind of curious quote for a Catholic University.

The newly named group is generating buzz on campus and people seem to be excited about it. Hoping that a more coordinated approach will get kids to games and create a rowdy environment.
I wouldn't overthink the name because at the end of the day, as long as people go to the games, it really doesn't matter what the group is called.

I disagree. Branding is everything.

When’s the last time the Explorer Entourage had titles let a lone a president, secretary, social media, and recruitment chairs? Give the kids a chance to run it. It’s the only way we get more engagement from students anyway.

You’re right. I hope it works. I won’t be as negative anymore.
