BTW, if La Salle is going to turn over half of its roster annually, I'm cool with turning this forum into a general sports board just to stay on touch with everybody. Food for thought. Unless Neumann wants to do a podcast and let me fire away, mad dog style. I asked Delgreco if he wanted to chop it up, and I got crickets in return. I'd listen to that

As the Sixers are pulling their annual el foldo….
If you had their #1 pick would you choose Edey or Filipowski? (assuming that neither is taken by the time Sixers pick)…

Either one paired with Embiid would be pretty funny to watch.

Was thinking Edey and Embiid would not be on the court at the same time. Edey could absorb a lot of minutes and take Embiid's place during his "load management" and inevitable injuries. I don't want to see Edey drop to the Celtics or the Knicks or any Eastern Conference rival......
Edey is a project with a big upside. The big from UConn will be long gone by time the Sixers pick.

Edey’s comp is Boban.

Joe..love the humor. My sense (low side - Mark Eaton, Tom Burleson, Jim Chones) to (high side - Robert Parrish). I believe Zach Edey was 2 time Naismith Player of the year. Just worried that Knicks or Celts will get him.

The only one of those comps who isn't 70 years old is dead.

7-4 doesn’t matter when the other dudes are 7-0. He can’t shoot or dribble or pass. He’s too slow to cover stretch fives.

We shall see, gents. I ain’t calling him Wilt or Bill (2 dead guys)…but I like him as a 14-16 first round pick. We won’t know how it works out until like 2027…

I’d bet good money the Jazz or Pacers will regret it if they take him in the first.

I have an Edey look alike that I played football with in high school. He's not 7'4, he's not Asian, and he's not skinny. But wait til you see this...as soon as I can get to a computer and not a cell phone...

You obviously didn’t watch Purdue this year He is a really good passer especially out of the post He has nice touch and his range will get better He’s not exactly a driver or a primary ball handler but he is 7’4 and not named Wemby How he guard pick and roll will be the key. While not uber athletic his conditioning and quickness has greatly improved in his time in college I would throw him in there. Yes teams could counter with quickness. That’s fine. But then they can’t guard the post

AD looks like he's hurt, I mean, he always gets hurt, but we'll see if he stays in the game.

You obviously didn’t watch Purdue this year I watched an absurd amount of Purdue. Calling him a good passer and saying he has good touch are two laughable statements to me. Small sample size, but against good competition. He was below average on shots outside of the immediate rim.

Anybody else find it peculiar that the Lakers shot 18 more free throws than the nuggets in Denver last night? Joker was 0-0 from the foul line, and had an AD foul overturned despite the Brow being draped all over his back?
Adam Silver's NBA... nothing to see here.

Good touch on free throws. Got the ball to shooters. You obviously didn’t pay attention when watching. He isn’t a stiff He was a 71% free throw shooter. Behind Jarrett Allen and Nick Richards as far as centers go. Maybe he had good touch but they didn't go in as much as people would like. He got the ball to shooters because he was double and triple teamed all year in the Big 10. He's not going to be in the NBA. Most mocks have him in the late 20s. I found one that has him as 13...the only lottery pick. Some have him as a mid-second rounder. Maybe all of these people are wrong about a guy that had more national exposure in college than anyone on the men's side.

If he goes in the late 20s, he's still a guaranteed millionaire. He may be playing in Taiwan in 5 years, but for the next few years, he'll be an NBA player.

May I suggest you start to commence the annual meet-up at Wells Fargo ctr to see the big5+1 triple header?? This is one game lighter than the 4 games we used to do in AC, and a lot closer to home so we'd actually be in bed before 11. (Reprise: I hate being 40+ as well, Lun.)

I can’t believe a random comment by me about Edey has people commenting. 40 years old? I’ll trade birth certificates with you. 11:00 bedtime? Haven’t seen that since the Clinton administration.

I agree with you Mr. Poughkeepsie. I think the Phillies do this gamesmanship with harper, the Eagles do it because they are a bushleague organization, and the Sixers are starting to do the same shit. They did it with Maxey with Game 2's shootaround. It will get the line to move a point or 2, Embiid will play, it won't be thing. Sadly, the Knicks are probably gonna close it out tonight. Watching the officials keep the Lakers in last night's game, I wondered, when did all of professional sports, become professional wrestling. Aside from being pre-determined, this shit is all a work.
