I was ready to pound Duq to cover that (for $10, lol) but I figured we might have enough fight to lose by 3 so I just took the over and assumed it would be safe there would be very little defense played this half. |

Our guards got away from moving the ball which puts us in a position where we have to take tough shots. We just don't win when we don't make the extra pass

Vegas!! I lose the over by 0.5 thanks to a missed Duques lay-up when the announcer said they should have gone for the dunk, missed front end free throw by their best FT shooter with 7 secs to go, and then two more misses on the other end. Yuck! |

disappointing game but i'm not down on this team. they didn't play well in the second half but the effort was there. put this one in the rearview mirror and take it out on gw on saturday.
in the second half, jhamir was uncharacteristically sloppy with the ball and was forcing things. in his defense, he got manhandled most of the game. duquesne was only called for 10 fouls all night. clark and grant, who were draped all over jhamir and khalil the entire game (especially in the second half), only combined for 2 personal fouls in 64 minutes. big men dixon, williams and that thug mahorcic combined for 1 foul in 54 minutes. i'm sorry but that is ridiculous. i'm sure dambrot told his team at halftime to not worry about fouling. good strategy on his part because the refs swallowed their whistles.
mark schnur has officiated more la salle games than any other ref this season. he has been consistently awful. having leslie jones on tonight's crew didn't help either.

BTW, these announcers are REALLY talking a lot. Not letting the game breathe at all. exactly. they were awful. you need to know when to shut up. |

Tough loss tonight against a good Duquesne team. We played well in the first half of the game, but the bottom fell off in the second half. Jimmy Clark (22 points 8 assists) was a one man show in the second half for the Dukes. In the second half, to many turnovers and to many wide open shots for Duquesne. We were playing to many one on one basketball instead running our offense. Shepherd (17 points and 7 rebounds) had a nice overall game tonight. Our 3 game winning streak is over and we under 500 now. Saturday we have GW on our last home game and it seniors day. Let’s get this win against GW for the seniors on the team. Let get back to 500 baby.

In fairness to the kids, this is as much of a coaching issue as it is a player issue. When a key aspect of your team's game deteriorates, you call a time out and FIX IT! You don't wait and allow the momentum of the game to slip back to your opponent.
