How do they let the other team get an offensive rebound / touch on a foul shot all of the time?

Jesus Christ this team is going to give me a heart attack. Watching that last rebound bouncing around like a ping pong ball while I'm screaming at the tv "get the f'ing rebound!".

La Salle should celebrate every win. Great closeout, now bring that energy all game.

Really needed Marrero tonight. He was very efficient and knocked down the big 3 to win it.

My heart is not going to survive an entire season of La Salle doing their best Philadelphia Eagles impression.

I know they didn’t end up winning the Temple game but that’s 3 furious comebacks in a row. Ideally you don’t want to need that against Loyola, but for the first time in years, this team is winning their share of these games that come down to the final minute.

My 28th season of giving a shit about La Salle and definitely the first time we’ve been a consistent “finds a way to pull them out” team. Even the Temple loss was a huge comeback to force the OTs.

Still salty about not beating Temple. Definitely feels like a nice progression from last year where we were in every game, except this year we seem to win them. I’m itching to do it against a certain forthcoming ranked school…ahem.

I never expect a blowout win from our guys, but I don't expect us to have to "survive" against a one-win team, either.
It's better to win, of course, but I hope we don't do one of these against Lafayette on Saturday.

Not complaining at all, but I don't know why Loyola didn't continue to pound the ball inside with their size advantage. They were hurting La Salle by doing that.

This was a gutsy win for us tonight. We didn’t played our best tonight, but a win is a win. Loyola-Maryland came out playing hard and tough. They didn’t played like they were 1-7 tonight. Brickus (7 pts & 8 assists) and Brantley (7 pts & 5 rebounds) struggled with their shots tonight (6\18 from the floor). Gill (15 pts & 5 rebounds) was the only starter in double digits. Gill is the glue that keeps the team together and he played hard every game. Andres Marrero (18 pts 6\10 from 3’s) played his career game tonight and we need every single point from him today. His 3’s with 10 seconds remaining gave us the win. Andres Marrero is my arm chair coach player of the game. Next game is a revenge game against Lafayette on the road. Let get this win on Saturday baby.

Our NET dropped from 181 to 199 despite the win. I do not even look at our NET anymore. The NET is solely designed to keep the third A10 team out. We need to be built for the bye and hopefully even the double bye if we are going to get any sniffs of a postseason bid again. Top one or two in our conference is the sole path to an NCAA bid or NIT. Even in our high water mark season, 2013 we were one of the last two teams in. I do not suppose we are going to get to a Top 50 NET anyway, so our only hope of making any sort of at large noise now is to beat Miami plus Dayton, while getting to around 25 wins on the way to losing in the A10 final. Just not happening.

We definitely played poorly for most of the game but the one saving grace for me is this is the kind of game La Salle would lose in previous seasons. Play down to the competition and come up short in the end. This year seems like we can turn it on in the end and win games. I'm hopeful the team is gaining valuable experience and confidence they can use to play a competitive game against Miami.

By the way... last night was the first time I really watched a broadcast with Rich Tarr working with Kale. He was really really good and objective about plays and wasn't afraid to both praising of the players, but also critical when they were sloppy or made mistakes. I found his commentary to be insightful and enjoyable. Hoping he gets more air time.

We need to close out December strong with at least 10 wins heading into the conference schedule. We then need to win 10 of 18 A10 conference games to get to 20 wins heading into the A10 Tourney.
