Didn't think we'd see this, but L-Train got passed on the all-time scoring list

Did he do it in a bonus year?

Did he do it in a bonus year? I'm sure the covid year helped him.

If I was the focus point of the offense (ball hog) and play for 5 years I would broke the record. #GoExplorer

There is talk of him catching Maravich, but it would depend on how far Detroit Mercy goes in the Horizon League Tournament. Amazing that Pistol Pete got to 3,667 in three years with no shot clock and no 3-point shot.

Closing in on Maravich, but not many games left. 13-16 overall, so whatever they do in the conference tourney is all he's got. Minimum (maybe maximum) 3 games left.

If he goes off for 40 each game, which he certainly can do, things could get really interesting.

If he's close and I'm running the CBI or CIT ( are those even still around?) , I give Detroit Mercy an invite to get the publicity

Game is on ESPN+ tonight at 8PM against top-seeded Youngstown State and it's not a gimmie that he will get the 26 needed to pass Maravich. In 2 prior games against them this year, he averaged 23.5 points (32 and 15).

3 for 9 shooting for Davis in the first half with 7 points. Youngstown State is double teaming him a lot, but Detroit Mercy holds a 4 point lead.

He didn’t get there but they’ll get a CBI invite.

Fell 3 points short on absolute garbage shooting in a 5 point loss. He was chucking at the end when better shots were available and Detroit Mercy could have won the game.
7 for 26 shooting including 4 for 16 from 3.

He didn’t get there but they’ll get a CBI invite. $50,000 entry fee for a game they will lose so he can get a record. They could have won last night and had an extra game in their conference tournament. It was tied with 2 minutes left. In the final 2:30, he went 0 for 6 on absolutely junk shots. Got 2 points from the charity stripe when Youngstown State got a technical for celebration with 10 seconds left. They played for his stats, but not to win the game. Had they won, he easily would have gotten the record in the next game.

Its crazy that half the time a team doesn't just decide to win. That's on the coaches.

Detroit Mercy should consider the cost of the buy in against the ability to say they have the all-time D1 scoring leader. Don’t know what the ROI is but they’ll own that for a long time.

would be the equivalent of Michael Strahan getting his "record breaking" sack on Brett Favre. CBI is a glorified scrimmage.

Antoine Davis and Pete Maravich have one thing in common: they never play in the NCAA tournament and NIT. #GoExplorer
