This is a game that I will purge from my memory. You have to gut games like this out to get a bid. We did that. I'm not going to rip the kids for almost losing in a game we all thought was going to end up like this.
They pulled it out. GUTSY effort.
Ty played his worst game in a La Salle uniform and still made that huge three.

I was doing everything I could to ignore this game tonight knowing I couldn't watch and then a friend texted "blew an 11 point halftime lead and heading to OT". Brutal. Box score says Galloway won this.

Well of course my computer picks up a virus as soon as I picked up the video stream from SBU. I tracked the game on my phone through ESPN Gametracker which updated what seemed like every 5 hours. I finally get my computer up and running and we're in OT??? Sheesh! I caught the last 2 minutes of OT and boy was it painful. Good job on a tough win at a tough place to play. Let's blow St. Joe's away on Saturday.

I'm sick of G and his sitting on lead offense. We got lucky this time, but it'll cost us in the future.
Anyways, bring on the Hoe's.
Everyone wear gold!

Look the A-10 is brutal, especially on the road. We showed a tin of balls in the win. Road wins do not come easy. A win is a win, plus this was a bonafided trap game with teh Joe of PA and Temple looming on the horizon. Take the win. Saturday is huge see you at 30th and Market at 10AM

Yes they sat on it. Phew still breathing heavily. Bring on the big5 He always sits on a lead way too early. I wish he'd look back at all the time's he's done it and learn. Nonetheless, I'm glad the team gutted it out and won in OT.

Did they in fact sit on the lead again? Looks to me like our half court O is not good enough to do this. It may have been a momentum killer tonight when we were thumping them. I was wondering whether it was how our coach demonstrates to the team how a game ia a game of runs...... Okay guys now it is there turn to make a run! . JUST KIDDING! But we certainly need more work on our half court O!

What a crazy game.
Good Tourney teams win games like this: midweek game prior to playing a big rival star player is sick and plays like it playing on the road on a hostile court turned the ball over like crazy played poor defense went cold for a long stretch- more than once! had bad calls against them couldn't make a foul shot when they needed to, and couldn't miss a foul shot when they tried and also got out coached.
How in the world did we win that game!?!

They play better in an open game because they never have been coached to run a half court offense. For those who disagree, record a game and go back and watch how little the 4 guys without the ball move when in a half-court O. Then, watch Butler play. Or Duke. Or Michigan State.

The Bonnies had a LOT to do with our defense struggling tonight. I thought they were a really good defensive team.
Our offense needs good ball movement to get good looks. The Bonnies did a very good job keeping us from running our offense from the top of the key. They did a good job on the first pass to Zack/Jerrell. They closed out well. They forced Zack to make shots. They also double teamed Ramon a lot and also kept him from getting too many shots off in the second half.
I would have liked to have seen less DJ in the second half. He can't create a shot and he passes up open shots. He's too passive sometimes. Ty Garland, on the other hand, played lights out in the first half but didn't play much in the second at all. With him on the court, you have three guys (w/ Ramon and Tyreek) who can break down anyone in the half court.
Also, keep in mind, there were about four or five open shots we completely bricked in the second half.

Joe has a nice story on Philahoops. I am a little worried about Doc G saying several guys had issues. I get that Tyreek was sick, but referencing injuries isn't good since they had one game in the last 10 days. That break should have gotten them healthy, one would think.

Tyreek has the stomach bug that's been going around - I bet that was fun to play through tonight
Need these guys to get home safe and get rested for Saturday

Here is the link: www.philahoops.com/la-salle-69-st-bonaventure-66-explorers-overcome-tough-second-half-to-win-in-ot/He offered those injuries not as a crutch, but I think that is why Wright saw some limited minutes for sure. I believe, if I heard him right, that only Tyreek was sick. The other three have been dinged up for some time. I'm vacationing and will be on a plane Saturday to San Francisco. Nobody has a slingbox set up do they? Would love to borrow it.

The ST. Bonnie's site has a replay of the game. Hopefully the selection committee doesn't watch it. For the most part, all the Selection committee sees is a 3 pt OT win on the road against a conference opponent. That counts in my book. I mean, look at Dayton. They go into Rhodie, and come out with a L. Anything can happen in this league. Just keep winning. It's still crowded on top of the A10 standings.
