Somewhere along the way there is this notion that La Salle doesn't have at least half the crowd for last years game with SJU. We sold out our allotment of 50% of the seats LAST year and THIS year. As of Thursday, SJU had a few tickets left but those are gone. La Salle sold out it's allotment early last week.
It is amazing that you see some La Salle fans ONLY at the Palestra.

I was at last year's game. It was probably 65% St. Joe's fans. I believe it was a St. Joe's home game. La Salle might have sold out their allotmnent, but no way their allotment was 4000 tickets. Maybe it was a a few thousand or so.

Alright, if half the crowd were La Salle fans, then wear gold and get up and cheer or something.
Besides the student section behind the basket, it seemed like most everyone else were St. Joe's fans.

Maybe it was a a few thousand or so. You do realize that the way they split the seats isn't with St Joe's fans on one side and La Salle on the other, right? The seating is split down the middle at halfcourt, with fans from each school facing other sections of their fans on the opposite sidelines and corners and the students in the sections behind the baskets. The last few years, there have been just as many La Salle fans as St Joe's fans, or at worst it was 55%-45%.
