Per my prior post, we'll use this for all pre-game and post game discussion. I will also post time/score updates at Media Timeouts, and any other pertinent times.
During the game, we are going to try the Shoutbox application on the bottom of the page. Let's see how that goes.
Huge favorites today, and at home. HAS to be a win.

And over half the team are wearing hot pink sneakers or shoes with hot pink laces.

Got to be those sneakers. We seem to have a special spark today!
All kidding aside, while the shooting was phenomenal I am more elated about the ball movement. The passing was outstanding during the 1st half.
Love to see us not forget about bringing the ball inside the 2nd half. Let Steve and jerrell work at their game.

I'm not going to do Media Timeout updates unless they get it within like 15. It's academic at this point.

Miami is destroying North Carolina. They are a top 2 or 3 team and it would not surprise me to see them in the final four.

I'm glad we didn't sleep on Fordham, blowouts are fun. Tough road game in Olean, NY. That place is straight out of a horror film. I think thats where Dwight's (The Office) family is from.

We'll see what Bonas does tonight. If they win I won't be worried. If they lose, I'll be worried about a trap. So important leading up to 2/16

Hopefully with most of the guys resting in the 2nd half they'll be fresh to keep the hot shooting going against the Bonnies

Um. The team is peaking and is very confident right now. I see 2 losses max the rest of the way in the regular season. Puts us at 11-5 reg season. See you at the 8-9 game in the NCAA's. If we win the A-10, we'll make it the 12-5 game.

Soooo much to like.
I think one of the best plays of the year happened. It was in the second half. There was some loose ball scramble. Ramon could have let the ball roll out of bounds. Instead, he ran at it, chucked it about 30 feet in the air where someone (not sure who -- DJ?)got the ball. Ramon ran to the corner. Pass goes to him. BAM!
And Sam.
The scary thing is -- I thought our bigs were pretty bad today. Not bad on the boards but crappy on offense.
I also loved Rohan today. He didn't stop playing until the final second.
Hopefully Dunn's shot starts following.

Official attendance was something like 2200 with that evenly split between the east and west stands. Honestly the student turnout was lower than I've seen for any conference game so far. The crowd was into it early but with it so out of hand it wasn't very intense. Biggest cheers were for Ramon's 3 after his save described above and for anytime OJ Lewis touched the ball. The students seemed bored and started making this sound ( best way I can describe it is the whooping the creatures from the movie pitch black make) in the second half. I actually kind of liked it and thought it was a clever way to make a lot of noise while we were on defense.

Good win to keep our confidence high. This team has real 'swagger' to them right now... can't wait for the next 3 games...

By far our most impressive performance since joining in A-10. Even though it was "only" Fordham, the rest of the conference will probably take notice of that absolute butt-whuppin.

Fordham played Saint Louis real tough on Thursday night (or maybe that was Wednesday) regardless they made me a little concerned because they had hardly been blown out in A10 play.
This is big on a number of levels because listen to the players post game, they are focused on playing 100% for this final stretch of games. Best part is that there is another bye week after the next 4 games. Yesterday wa basically a warm up for this tough stretch and it should pay dividends not having to grind one out. I'm sure te message this week will be that the SJU game means little if they can't win against Bonnies the big land mine right now is that game up at URI right after Temple. Hopefully by then the Rams are out of the running for Brooklyn and have nothing to play for.

Danny Hurley's a REAL good coach. That team doesn't have a lot of talent but they scrap. That game is somewhat scary.
Also, I think the SJU game might be the most anticipated La Salle game in... I have no idea. The Butler game was anticipated but a "This MIGHT happen" kind of way. But being that the SJU game is the one game everyone cares about AND we're a possible tournament team AND it's at The Palestra AND it sold out weeks in advance, etc.
I have told people that this could be the craziest non-Phillies playoff game atmosphere for a local sporting event that I'll probably ever go to.

I was going to say I felt bad for Fordham, then I realized they are probably getting ass left and right because they play/coach basketball.
Anyways, concerning St. Joe's game, I think last year's game was more anticipated cause both schools were having good years. St. Joe's has had a very disappointing year thus far and their fans are probably a little out of it.
That said, we better have at least 50% of the crowd there. There's no reason we shouldn't. If we can get 3500+ for Butler, we should get at least 3,500 for St. Hoe's at the Palestra. Especially since it's on NATIONAL TV.
