Not sure if people are sleeping on Fordham, but there hasn't been much chatter. It seems like they played Charlotte and UMASS tough this year. I don't think anything is coming easy in the A 10 this year.

They played the Hawks tough also. And the 2012 La Salle Explorers. And they must be hungry for their first road win, and to even get the home field advantage of a tourney game in Brooklyn. Any seed at all would redeem them for the last 6 years.

Early line is explos as an 18 pt favorite, this the lack of excitement. They play pretty well a home but are pretty awful on the road.
Our team is on a mission and isn't sleeping on anyone in the league- you can just tell by their actions how focuse they've become as an overall team. The Umass game was tough with guys being sick and the inevitable let down after the huge week
Fordham is without Chros Gaston who ate us for breakfast lunch and dinner up there last year.
Tight first 30 mins but explos win going away

I nearly choked on my coffee this morning while watching Comcast's Big Man on Campus. Neil Hartman said that La Salle has a "very favorable stretch of games to end the season". Celestand says Fordham could be a "gimmie". Heck, if you call a dangerous Fordham, trip to always tough St. Bonnie's, Big Five rivals SJU and Temple, rematch with GW and trip to SLU to cake walk. You're crazy. I would be delighted to go better than 5-3 to conclude the conference schedule.

Without Chris Gaston, I have no worries about Fordham. Branden Frazier is good, but he's not Chaz Williams. He's more of an assist guy than a pure scorer. We should win by double digits.

You're crazy. I would be delighted to go better than 5-3 to conclude the conference schedule. Fordham is 6-17, they are playing without Chris Gaston and we are playing at home (not to mention being an 18 point favorite). If we lose to Fordham we have no one but ourselves to blame and it would probably put us on the outside looking in. A loss today would be a disgrace. A loss today can NOT happen. I hope the guys remember how embarrassing it was to blow a double digit lead in the second half last year to a bad Fordham team. Looking at our last 8 games, I think we have to win the Fordham, St. Bonaventure (I know playing up there is tough, but we have to find a way to make sure we win that game), Rhode Island, Duquesne, and George Washington games. Then we have to take at least 1 of St. Joe's, Temple, and St. Louis. The St. Louis game will be extremely difficult to win and I'm not counting on that. So the St. Joe's and Temple games are going to be huge. But no matter what, there needs to be a win today over a bad Fordham team. Go out and take care of business today.

We absolutely have a favorable stretch of games to end the season, compared to the 1st. Duquesne, Fordham, and URI are all hideous. SBU and GW are teams we should beat. That's a favorable stretch right there, even with the other 3 games.

"respect all and fear none" is what I'm saying. I have seen some "bad" Fordham teams beat La Salle and even this year they have been a PIA. I didn't say we would lose just respect them. SBU can score but has trouble defending. They get home crowd behind them and they will be tough. I'll take a 1 or 2 point win right now. GW depends on which GW comes to Gola. Take care of business at URI and DUQ. If we have learned anything this season is that any given night someone in this league will step up and punch you in the mouth.

Is Gaston not playing? I thought he was doubtful.
Fordham plays a different style than last year. From what a friend of mine who goes to every Fordham game told me (and knows his hoops), they've been running fairly up-tempo this season and playing a three guard offense a lot of times. Their guards are young but can't shoot at all and, as a team, they're shooting under 50% from the FT line. FTs cost them the St. Joe's game and a few other close losses.
Them trying to go up tempo against our guards sounds quite delightful.

Not too much to say about this one. Good teams beat struggling teams like Fordham by this kind of margin.
They've had problems at St. Bonaventure in the past, but they need to make short work of them on Wednesday.
