I feel like we are due for an overachieving season. And since we’re not Fordham, I feel like that means something.

imo, any success this season comes down to the coaching. i think the talent level is good enough to at least finish in the top half of the league or even better.
one thing that i wish ash had done was what kyle neptune and kim english have done. both have added former head coaches to their staffs (dave paulsen at fordham and dennis felton at george mason). these guys recognized their inexperience as head coaches and brought in guys to compensate for that. i worry that one of the main reasons for last year's problems was the loss of kenny johnson. he was the most experienced coach on the staff.
and fwiw, saw this on twitter this morning.

He has, they just haven't made the news public. A few of us know of the hire, but I'm not sure if we should be the ones putting it out there. I have the news confirmed, as his brother is the one that told me.

I know who you’re talking about and it’s weird they haven’t made the switch yet. Don’t know if it’s a contractual thing or what.

Never really worked at Goldey-Beacum (sp?) because of Covid.

I am pretty sure that Brennan retired as of like 6/30.
The one thing I know is that he got their new baseball program a decent place to play. He got a donor to do field upgrades and add a fairly nice scoreboard for the recently started GBC program.

Doubt we would get Joe...He was pretty sick and had to step away from coaching and has a "special Advisor" role at Hofstra. He'd be great though. Would love Dunph but doubt he would do it (hopefully i'm wrong). Hard pass on Neubauer for a variety of reasons. Not a former explorer, but Chambers comes to mind....

Secret arena news, secret coaching hires….this board is quite the tease lately
I miss message boards that recklessly speculate and leak whispered info.
Are people worried the 12 of us will tell the other 3 people in our lives who follow La Salle basketball (1 of which is in the first 12)

If anyone is interested or has access, "The Athletic" did an interview, "Q&A: La Salle transfer Josh Nickelberry on his time at Louisville and how he’s ready to be ‘a hooper’."
It's pretty interesting and the writer asked some questions I think most of us would've asked, if we had the opportunity.

With all the injuries in the A10 I am optimistic about a 5th seed season

More optimistic than I was yesterday (with Chambers on board).
We are now the Betty Ford Clinic rehab facility for alleged bad boy coaches (Johnson and Chambers). Would love to see us and not PSU advance farther in preseason. A man's gotta dream...

Sports Illustrated ranks us 203 in Division I behind every other Philly team and picks us 13th in A-10. Despite this, I still think we are going to surprise people this year.

Bonaventure #1 in New York is interesting, along with SLU #1 in Missouri...and good for the A10. Richmond and VCU #2 and #4 in Virginia respectively, and Davidson at #4 in North Carolina behind the Big 3 of NC hoops.

There is a lot of strong depth in Cal, Indy, ky, texas. I think we have a shot to be 4th maybe 3D best in Pa at year end.
