Are you sure? I thought his Instagram showed him in a Hoya jersey. Seems like a new pic.
Nope. Looks like you're right. I pulled the pic up and read the comments. My bad.

Very exciting. Had some high offers including Creighton, Georgetown and Oklahoma State (who was his other finalist).

His teammates will absolutely love him. Exploring15, you dont think that his his attitude reminds of Garland or going back a bit, Randy Woods. This kid can absolutely play, and will a lot.

We now have two guys running point all the time. I’m sure this frees up ash to be creative with the other like sherif. Too many times last year did we switch up the pg due to foul trouble or just inconsistency.

Looks cocky and like a shitty teammate too. I really hope you’re joking otherwise with all due respect F off He does have swagger, and does appear to be a bit cocky. Not sure what kind of teammate he is. The kid likes to talk on the court, which is fine if you back it up with great play, getting your teammates involved and translating that into W's. But, if we find ourselves down 20 at the 10 minute mark against GMU next year, we'll see what kind of teammate he is. I like the addition. Like another poster pointed out...Tyrone Garland comes to mind. Probably start and be given the keys to the team, I would think. But, the cockiness and swagger can get old if the L's continue in 21-22. We'll see.

Looks cocky and like a shitty teammate too. just an awful take by you. have you ever been to or participated in a basketball all-star game? because that's what this is. in just about every case, it turns into a good natured trash talking one on one contest with little to no defense. it's obvious that is what's going on in this video. the guys on the other team are all laughing at him. try watching some video of him playing with his high school or aau teams and you'll see what a good teammate he really is.

I really hope you’re joking otherwise with all due respect F off Probably start and be given the keys to the team, I would think. not likely. my guess is he'll be in the rotation and get plenty of minutes, but jhamir brickus already has the keys to the team.

My guess is you’ll get the four ‘guard’ set that Ash wants.

I don’t see the true 4 Guard set. I see Brantley serving as backup and having some combined time with Jig where they’d go a little taller with the other 3, like Ray, Clark and Moore.
If he’s as good as his offer list I see him with 20 mpg with 12 as a 1 and the rest at combo. He has hops and some toughness so he should be able to rebound and contribute in that setting. Could also set Jig as a scorer.
UR and URI had success with that approach in A10.

Per the article- I want to go to the college that needs me not wants me,” said Brantley recently, followed by this dagger. “Duke is my dream school.” Well focusing just on the first part of this he may have truly landed at the right spot, (if he is as good as advertised), La Salle has a profound NEED for an elevation in the talent level. Exciting this is the kind of recruit that can help future recruiting.

I love his cocky (maybe confident is a better term) attitude. I am tired of passive players who often disappear during a game. There is a need on this team for an aggressive and fearless player who wants the ball in a critical situation. One of the reasons he said he chose La Salle was that the coaches told him he could play his game and not be molded into a system. I hope that is true. I hope he gets to the point where they can clear out for him and let him be the "Iso King". I hope that he and Brickus become Duren and Galloway or Burke and Townes. An old man can still dream.

If he and Pearl are in the same echelon, I can't wait. Pearl was just a damn good college basketball player that connected on a lot of clutch shots. He was must see TV back in the 80s. Big East back when it was the Big East.

I feel like his addition will go a long way in us avoiding those long scoring droughts that cost us a number of games last year. He should help in keeping our offense aggressive. Kudos to Coach Ash and the staff in getting him so late in the cycle.

speaking of being so late in the cycle, why was he so late in the cycle? Any number of reasons. It is obvious from his early interview that he he saw himself at a big time program. He even mentioned Duke (he is a NC kid). It has been a tough year for recruiting. Free transfers and extra years of eligibility make putting together a roster a challenge. I also noticed that with the exception of OSU the rest of his higher level offers (Gtown, Craighton, Seton Hall) had already signed PGs. No surprise it came down to LS and OSU. My understanding is that Ash has been after him for a while. Like any recruit he is a shot in the dark. Lets hope that he is a contributor.

Given the amount of gun violence in the city recently I apologize for the "shot in the dark" remark. Lets say that we hope that Khalil and the other newcomers live up to our (often overly lofty) expectations.

Hell, Chuck, there are a lot of basketball weapon analogies.
I guess some folks will now want the Larry Cannon banner removed from Gola.
We even say “shoot” the ball. Except for Jimmy Lynam who says “score the ball.”
