Putting this up, we can start using this tonight at 6 with the Selection Show, and then through once the games start.
For what it’s worth, NIT selection show is also later tonight at I think 8:30 on ESPNU.

VCU a 10 seed, playing Oregon in Round 1 in the “West” Region.

I’m amused they are still giving the Regions names like “East” and “West” even though every game is being played in the Indianapolis area.

No SLU, which was expected. We’ll find out in a few hours what seed they are in the NIT. Either a 1 or 2 I’m sure.

St. Louis was the third team out apparently.

SLU is the 2nd alternate.

Really, if you're SLU, you beat La Salle, pick up 1 more win, and you're probably in the Dance. The A10 would be a 3 bid league, and the world would be a better place.

How is that going to work. If Texas Southern gets Covid, can’t just have Gonzaga play Louisville.

How is that going to work. If Texas Southern gets Covid, can’t just have Gonzaga play Louisville. A 1 bid conference will have the runner up go in their place. A multiple bid conference will have alternates take their place.

So if there's a duplicate of the Big 12 or ACC tourney this past week, as long as the tourney hasn't started, the alternates can play, and they will place at whatever seed of the team they replace. Once the tournament starts, any covid outbreaks will result in a forfeit.

Really, if you're SLU, you beat La Salle, pick up 1 more win, and you're probably in the Dance. The A10 would be a 3 bid league, and the world would be a better place. We have lousy facilities, we look bad and we steal bids from our conference members. What will Bern do?

Fun stat: Jay Wright would need to win 14 consecutive games to equal John Giannini's tourney win percentage.
