Traci Carter, Aaric Murray, Khalid Lewis, Scott Spencer, the Dusan Euro kid that we had during that trip to Prague, and I believe the Lopez kid from Washington Twp. I don't think Demetrius Henry played anywhere else after G kicked him off the team. Not to mention : Kyle Griffin, Parrish Grant, TT Carey, Cole Stefan, Yevgen Sakhniuk, Dajour Joseph, Jayson Brower.

Dajour Joseph is a total carpet bagger... he's on his 4th school in 4 years.

I have no idea if Shawnta's kid is any good. But Shawnta might have been the best player in the A-10 during my undergrad years. I guess the right answers might be Camby since UMass was ranked #1 my freshman year (our first A-10 year and we were terrible but actually had them on the ropes in a game) or Odom during his time at URI. But Shawnta was just incredibly fun to watch. He hit a game winner (I think maybe at the buzzer) during one of the first games at Gola right in Donnie's face. Shawnta was A-10 POTY his final year and averaged 20.7/6.8 assists and a pretty remarkable four boards. And over 3.5 steals. URI also during that era had an incredibly backcourt with Tyson Wheeler and Cat Mobley. They made the Elite Eight one year and had a pretty terrible collapse in the final minute or so against Stanford, which had a really good point guard in Arthur Lee who led the way. I think the most remarkable thing from the A-10 during that era was Pepe Sanchez was the conference POTY in '99-00. This makes sense in memory but his stat line his senior season... and I kid you not... 5.6 PPG/8.0 APG/5.5 Boards/3.4 steals. That is historically weird. And on another random note: The UMBC team that upset Virginia had a 5'4" point guard named Joey Rodriquez who was really good. I guess Odom really likes those tiny PGs. That was actually a trend in the 90s - Earl Boykins at Eastern Michigan was ridiculous, and there was a guy named Keith "Mister" Jennings at East Tennessee State who was 5'6" or so and a second team All-American his senior year. Enough with my bizarre ranting. I watched one half of La Salle hoops this year. Funny thing is, I saw a previous article on Rogers and tweeted asking if he was Shawnta's kid. In a Big 5-like coincidence, Wheeler responded to my tweet confirming that was the case.

He shot 43% this season and 44% from three last season. His in conference numbers even better, 51% this year and 47% last year. He averaged 1.31 points per three taken (the highest average for any shot La Salle took this season). That is ELITE! Go pick apart any other part of his game if you want but there aren't many better three point shooters in the country. You beat me to it giveansk1. Someone explain to me how a 44% 3 point shooter two years in a row is inconsistent. The guy could shoot, that's clearly obvious. Was his "inconsistency" due to the offense that was run? It sure as hell wasn't his shooting. Maybe Legler would have known how to use an elite 3 point shooter better

3 Colleges may be the future of college basketball as kids try to find their best fit. If the NCAA does away with the sit out a year rule which I believe they will since the power conferences will need to restock every year, 3 Colleges may be the new normal. the ncaa is not doing away with the sit out a year rule. what this new rule will allow (once it's approved) is for a kid to take advantage of one transfer without having to sit out. if they want to transfer a second or third time, they will have to sit a year.

Wonder if you still get the free grad waiver if you already use the free year.

Diehard is correct but my thinking is it won't be long before total free agency. As more 5 stars opt for G league or overseas the pool for the big schools will shrink and they will pressure the NCAA for open transfers so they can restock from the mid majors. We're getting very close to the big 6 and then the rest of us.

Guessing we have no shot at this guy. 6-8 4-star sophomore from Providence who just entered the transfer portal today. Didn't light it up there, but would probably be a solid A10 player. www.verbalcommits.com/players/greg-gantt-jr

Does anyone know if, under the new rules, the A10 still has any restrictions on inter-conference transfers?

Izaiah Brockington is also in the portal from Penn State. I would think we have some interest there as would St. Joe's.

They name a new HC and then five leave. Can Seth Lundy be far behind? G recruited Brockington very late when he was at Ryan. Shame he would have helped. Don't know if he would consider an A10 school? Started at Bonnies. Been there done that. On a side note, Brockington is an unusual player in today's game. He rarely takes a three. Most of his outside shots are just inside the arc. Maybe a comfort thing or a mental block.

Would be nice to get to local HS players (with some playing chemistry) come home and play at La Salle.
Harrar is a rebounding machine and would average 11 rpg in A10 play.
Brockington can slash, hit the jay and I like the lefty approach to things. Hard to believe but he has 2 years of eligibility, but would he have to sit one or could he be a grad T with 2 years - that would be a plus.
Adding these two PSUers to our core group would help a lot.

Let's suppose for a moment these local guys are deciding between 20th and Olney and City Line. Objectively, what do they choose? Look at facilities, length of coach's contract, playing time, and connections to NBA. I don't like the answer.

Coming from the Big 10, I'd look much harder down broad street from La Salle.... I don't think SJU (of PA) or La Salle look appealing at all right now. Temple has the NBA connections, facilities, name, and conference that neither of the A10 schools have.

All fair (maybe aside from the NBA connections, which I can't imagine matter any more or less than winning a national title), but consider what if a player isn't satisfied with only "part city" or "part suburbs". In terms of the former, I think we'd have a much better shot.

Maybe not over our neighbors south on Broad Street...as 15 points out...although both A10 and American conference has 2 teams in this year.

Jamir Moultrie is transferring again.
These college staffs have to re-recruit quite a lot of players the previously turned them down and vice-versa.
Incredibly different recruiting angles now. I have seen quite a bit of stories and tweets from high school coaches and talent evaluators how high school seniors are getting overlooked. Might be a spot for programs like La Salle to capitalize on if it continues.
