Does anyone think that there's a correlation between the big men transferring out (Croswell, Brookins, Kimbrough) and the amount of threes we take? We've lost guards as well, (Hakim, Moultrie, Carter) but the guards were due to a lack of PT, same thing with Stone. All of our bigs got a decent amount of minutes at the time of their transfer. Is this a product of our offensive system?

I think if anyone is expecting much from Tegra they’re gonna be disappointed. Hope I’m wrong.

IMO- any “ Big” that comes to La Salle, has to be a complete unfinished product. If he was further advanced, he would be going elsewhere.( that’s a fact) Conclusion is that, in order for the kid to develop, he will need strong coaching ( plus the desire to get better) The question is, will he get that here? ( The way things stand, as of now)- just wondering 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

I am always intrigued by true center "prospects". Tegra appears to fit the bill of true center from what I have observed. ( would certainly like to hear other's more informed take on his game). Hope he is a true prospect ( also, if he were what would we be seeing?). Obviously, I hope we can develop him. To your point here, the few centers we have seen over the years who have emerged as contributors (e. g. Don Wilbur, Tom Piotrowski, Steve Zack, ?, ?, ?) all required several seasons to emerge and develop. And, we missed much more than we have hit for sure with big guys of this type.

Traci Carter scored 22 tonight as Hartford upset Vermont. They play Umass-Lowell in the finals for a Dance ticket.

I think Tegra improved over the year. He has 4 year eligibility
Could turn out to be a good big

Scott Spencer is in the transfer portal. I know some had complaints about his overall game but the man is an elite 3 point shooter.

disagree with elite shooter observation, not consistent, his overall game was soft! As a senior, his leadership skills were not apparent...

Sophomores Jamison Battle and Chase Paar from GW entered the transfer portal. Both were starters for GW.

I don't really know if I'd consider Spencer a true transfer. Wish him the best though!
My concern is keeping the main core of young guys together. Fingers crossed!

disagree with elite shooter observation, not consistent, his overall game was soft! As a senior, his leadership skills were not apparent... He shot 43% this season and 44% from three last season. His in conference numbers even better, 51% this year and 47% last year. He averaged 1.31 points per three taken (the highest average for any shot La Salle took this season). That is ELITE! Go pick apart any other part of his game if you want but there aren't many better three point shooters in the country.

So that is 2 players so far...4 if Hakim and Stone are counted... hopefully, that's it for the year.

Unfortunately I think we need more turnover to push the program upward. I wonder if Beatty looks elsewhere also. I think it is best to have the seniors move on and use the scholarships elsewhere. I think we need two frontcourt players at least. We need a bigger wing that can defend the larger wings in the conference We still need shooters and guards that can get their own shots

We are going to be 2 years away, from being 2 years away. We have to build on something.

So three years away from this board's collective tantrum wishing the next coach is fired?

We are going to be 2 years away, from being 2 years away. We have to build on something. Can't build on a foundation that isn't there or needs more help. Brickus Kenney Clark Ray That is your foundation it appears. Ash needs to find a way to surround them with others that pick-up where they are deficient and who can get the best out of their skills. No matter what it looks like 3-4 new players are coming in.

Someone explain to me how a 44% 3 point shooter two years in a row is inconsistent. The guy could shoot, that's clearly obvious. Was his "inconsistency" due to the offense that was run? It sure as hell wasn't his shooting.

Ordinarily, I would look at Spencer and Beatty and want those guys using their free year to stay at La Salle because they played in the system for 3 years. That said, I'm not sure what the system is at this point. We will miss Spencer's 3's.

I won't pretend to know the system or Howard's instructions or Spencer's own willingness to fire, but it sure feels like Spencer's usage was about half of what it should be for a player like him.

Am ok with Spencer moving on. It opens the possibility for attracting a player/transfer.
My real question is whether this potentially massive transfer process for the team will lead to more than 16 pages of posts like we had for Ed

more than 16 pages of posts like we had for Ed Is he going to also ride the bench for a Big East school? The problem with Ed's move (for me) is that it didn't make sense. Still doesn't make sense.

He also blindsided the team by quitting during the season.
