Hawks first game in 3 weeks. Should be a 15-point romp at least for us.

Hawks first game in 3 weeks. Should be a 15-point romp at least for us. Where do you get this confidence from? We can beat anyone and lose to anyone. We play the way we often do we could lose to SJU. did you forget how we played at Fordham? There were people here mocking Fordham.

Unfortunately, a loss at St. Joe’s on Saturday would define our season. Maybe I shouldn’t even think about it but I am haunted by losses like to Fordham.

We beat Dayton and Richmond when they hadn't played in 2 weeks from COVID, SLU in their second game coming off a month-long COVID delay, and crushed Fordham in only their second game of the whole season because of COVID. Regardless of how poorly we've been playing, there is nothing pointing to anything but annihilation of the Hawks this weekend. They haven't played in 3 weeks and they weren't exactly lighting it up then.

^^^^ By the way, the corollary to the above is: La Salle has only won 3 Division 1 games this season against teams not coming out of COVID protocol. We beat Delaware, Drexel, and Hawks Part 1.

Hawks first game in 3 weeks. Should be a 15-point romp at least for us. I hope you are right. Team and fans need a win badly here. Not only is Covid in our favor but I think we have some very favorable match-ups and overall superior personnel. To the extent that sizing up your opponent might effect your play going in, St Joes is not St Louis. Our guys should be able to deal and bring their game. Our last game with them was marked by disappointing inconsistency despite the victory. After a bad start, we demonstrated an alarming lack of toughness coughing up a big lead at the end. I am expecting some St Joe's guy, likely barely heard of, to go nuts from a distance, to hit at least 5 3's and set a personal scoring record. But we still should win this 1. Jarrod was an unstoppable force the first game against them. Would certainly love to have that Jarrod for this game. Will we? Another question mark, will Daly be playing? Agree with those viewing this is an important statement game regarding this season, a must win in my mind.

I'm not seeing teams coming off COVID break hitting their 3s. Their legs just aren't there...especially at the end of the game. The other night Utah St came into the game against Boise St shooting about 35% from 3. They went just 3-16 in that game after a 2-week layoff. SLU shot about 15% under their season average against us as well after their COVID break. Not seeing the Hawks lighting us up from 3, or having the gas at the end of the game to compete. It's just the reality of the post-covid rustiness for these teams. I see at least a 15-pt win, where it could be 25 but we take our foot off the gas a bit and get frustrated with sloppiness. I know it's the Hawks, but I'm not seeing beating a team that is 0-9 in the league, has several injuries, and who hasn't played in 3 weeks as a statement game for our season.

Glitter, you make a valid point about teams coming off of COVID breaks regarding their legs not being there. However, this is a revenge game for St.Joe, they have the last 4 minutes of the first game to build off of, they have to believe this will be their best chance to get a conference win. Not only a conference win, but a win against a hated cross town rival on their home court. They have nothing to lose. These types of game scare me, then again every game scares me. Our team can not afford to take any team for granted, especially St. Joe. La Salle cannot afford to let these types of opportunities slip away against a weaker opponent. We have a losing record against every Big Five team, but if we win tomorrow, we will have a four game winning streak against St. Joe and get closer to evening up our record against them. I don't care what it looks like tomorrow, I just want a win. Hopefully, we will all be able to cheer "The hawk is DEAD" tomorrow.

The holy war rival they have is irrelevant. They ain’t beating nova son or if again ever
We don’t have a rivalry like that so in real terms we are each other’s actual real rivals
Must win every rivalry matchup

All La Salle games should just be money lines. There's no point to guessing the spread.

Glorydays if you do move to Marcus Hook I can recommend a great little pizza shop. I spent a month there one weekend. You can also check out the Mickey Vernon Field.
