Since I am a Delaware resident, I might as well start this thread. I would love to hear constructive conversation/debate regarding tomorrows games. If we lose I might as well move to a different country to avoid all of the jokes and criticism that will be dumped on me. Delaware has a few players and this will not be a cake walk. Blue Hen is another word for - fancy eatin chicken. I have disliked Delaware ever since Tubby Raymond recruited me for football. Please tell me we can win this game.

According to basketball-reference, they've never had a player get even a single game in the NBA.

Glad to hear from one of my favorite Salesianum linemen. Hey Paisano, we might be in trouble. Ingelsby can flat out coach. Yes, we might lose to a CAA team tomorrow. Not only that, I believe the game is nationally televised on NBCSN after the Dayton - Ole Miss game.
Wow, now that Delaware has a president you might be moving?
MisterD, the Hens have settled on Elena DelleDonne as being their greatest basketball player of all time.

If Tubby recruited you and you went to La Salle, you still have at least four years of eligibility. Maybe more with Covid. :-)
Now the constructive part:
Kevin Anderson G v Ray +UD Ryan Allen G v Beatty +LSU Ebby Asamoah G v Gill/Kenney Push Dylan Painter F v Moore Push Aleks Novakovich v Clark +LSU PG Play overall - Slight + La Salle Coaches - Inglesby edge since he has a short bench and Ash hasn't committed to a core lineup
Clark is the differentiaor in this equation. La Salle by 1!

23andwon...thanks for the analysis. However, I think Ray can hang with Anderson. Glorydays you are still the man in Delaware. GlitterBro not sure what you mean. And at 58 I think my eligibility might have expired, but trust me, there are a few Eagles lineman that could not block me.

According to basketball-reference, they've never had a player get even a single game in the NBA. The Hens had some nice teams in the Mike Brey era. No NBA guys thus far. There was a guy in 60's Dave Sysko who was in the Baltimore Bullets' camp but didn't make it. The one near miss was Spencer Dunkley who was drafted by the Pacers in the 2nd round in '93. He got released. Spencer Dunkley was like a 6'11" with a great basketball name. Spencer Dunkley was not to be confused with Spencer Haywood. (As per Jellybean, I needed to get a Spencer Haywood reference in by the end of the year.)

The best Willie Horton was an outfielder for the Detroit Tigers, right handed power hitter....played for the 1968 World Champion Detroit Tigers...

All this DE talk made me think I need to do a run to Total Wine or as my wife calls it "Disneyland for Wine lovers."

Good points, jellybean. Now, Delaware has 2 things going for it: the President and Total Wine. Unsure what outsiders find more impressive?
Of course, being a La Salle fan, I am used to Total Whine.
What do I know? Today, the #2 College FB team is playing the #3 College FB team and I am going to watch Explos play basketball against the Hens. Maybe I should stop by Total Wine first.
Go Explorers!

We really do not want to talk politics here. If this starts getting out of hand I'll start to delete posts. As Explorer88 stated, the board is already divided enough. Thanks in advance for everyone respecting this.

Um....I'd rather talk politics than watch us go down 9-0 to start the game against Delaware.

After watching the Dayton game leading into this, we'd be a tough matchup for the Dayton JV team.

Wasted opportunity. RAy misses two free throws.
Kenney has given us a spark.
After a Turnover parade and ole defense by Moore and Clark Explos back in it.

Fun fact. I coached Delaware's Anthony Ochefu in soccer when he played for Lionville Soccer club before he focused exclusively on basketball. His brother Daniel was on the Villanova national championship team, and his mom is a Eucharistic Minister in my parish.

Foul shooting is so awful. It is astounding.
Scott Spencer blows a layup and then doesn’t guard his man and we get drilled with a 3 . Now down 4.
