are all of these fouls? every time Mitchell touches the ball or so it seems it is like you are not allowed to defend him Honestly, he's just that good.

Got to stop the bleeding. Mitchell just having his way. He is good. Gets the ball, controls the ball, and scores. And draws a foul. All. THE. TIME

Our usual "La Salle players gassed in the second half" routine.

The inability to guard the high post screen reappears.
One of the best teams guarding the 3 point line is allowing 9-20 45%. Ouch.

Will we break 62?

UMASS gets to the line 14-19 La Salle doesn't 2-3 Offense is what again? To be fair, La Salle has 28 points in the paint so you'd expect that they'd have a few more calls going their way. That's obviously not the case even when UMass has the same number of points in the paint and a ton more foul calls going their way.

This has turned into a beatdown. I definitely thought La Salle had a 50/50 chance at a win today, but unfortunately getting outclassed in the 2nd half.

This is exactly why some were very high on UMass. They are shooting extremely well and Mitchell is just going off.

Maybe Mitchell transfers to a major before the rematch?

Not much has changed last year to this year.
We aren’t much better and Tre Mitchell is eating again today.

Today, we got beat by a better team, but i have no idea how much better as the way the refs called this game just took us completely out of it. Yes, he is good but it will be interesting to see if Mitchell routinely gets this kind of whistle. Who might be the teams that can guard him and show some physicality?

Watched on and off as I did work. La Salle was up 45-44 with 16:33 left in the 2nd half and UMASS closed from there on a 41-21 run. Yikes.
Starting at 15:07, Tre Mitchell (scored 14) and Noah Fernandez (scored 6) made their next 20 points.
From 8:56 to 4:25, La Salle scored 1 point on a Gill free throw. Jack Clark made a jumper. They then almost two more minutes before scoring another point. So that was seven minutes or so with five points.
Kimbrough's minutes have to disappear. Understand that it was a tough matchup today, but he's is just a nothing on offense right now. Don't know what his role can be on this team.
Glue guy Christian Ray dropped seven, but grabbed eight boards including three offensive. Not flashy, but needs to be out there.
Hikim brings some defensive intensity but he's just too frenetic still in the lane.
4-10 from the line. 🤮

Are you really blaming the officials for this game? That is laughable. Mitchell is a beast. And we have no one inside that can even contain him. Clifton is tall and long but isnt strong enough. JK is not tough enough or quick enough. The kid is good. We have no one to defend him. The refs did not in anyway change the outcome of this game. Grant Golden at Richmond will play him tough. The bigs from URI will. And Osun will give him a headache with his length.

See what is there and not what you want to see. BTW, the other day you called this game and how Mitchell would dominate.

I was surprised we didn't try to use Izay more. I know he is a freshman, but he is big and could have been a body on Mitchell. A frequent criticism last year was that we seemed to play about 30 minutes of good basketball in a 40 minute game. It felt like that again today from the bits I was able to see.

Hell, why let a clear as day statement like " Today, we got beat by a better team, but i have no idea how much better as the way the refs called this game just took us completely out of it." get in the way of a preset agenda?
