@exploring15 Agreed on a lot of your thoughts.
Beatty and Spencer have been disappointing thusfar. Beatty had an outstanding day but Spencer not so much. Really looking to them to return to their prior year conference play form.
I'm not willing to give up on Hikim and Kenney yet and I don't think you're suggesting that. I think they will be solid bench players and I think it's fair we don't write them off 5 games into their sophomores seasons. They are both gonna have games over the season where they step.
I know Ray's athleticism and shooting isn't prolific but Ray analytics just don't suggest he's underwhelming. He's a solid player both offensively and defensively. He isn't great at anything but he's just an absolute rock on both sides of the court. I think the concern is what is his ceiling...is this it? I don't think so I just don't know how much he can elevate his game.
I'll say it 100 times if I have to but Moore should be the inside presence. Kimborough just isn't talented enough to compete with A10 bigs. He's a specialist player with his shot blocking, that's all he really offers which is a good thing to have on your bench.

A10 I don’t disagree with any of the points. I think we are mostly aligned. I am disappointed just that hikim and Spencer through 5 games exactly the same as they did through 5 games last year.
Beatty did have a better game today, he does seem to be very much an emotional roller coaster and if one thing doesn’t go his way it can be quite the spiral.
I think Ray can be fine has a 4th or 5th option on offense, we just don’t really have a first second or third option before him. I’d consider him a poor man’s draymond green. But the pieces around him that could make him useful just aren’t really there.

12 or 15 minutes for Ray is rather harsh for a guy that's currently the 4th best player on the team right now. Qualifier ‘on a good team’ was important here.

A win is a win is a win.......- I have decided to stop critiquing every move, every decision about minutes played, rotation, etc. Let’s face it, there will not be too many blowouts with this team( wins)- So, I have decided to just take each game as it comes+ when they are victorious. I will enjoy the moment! 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

That is the problem for us. Ray is the 4th best player. He is not skilled or athletic enough. I can buy his basketball IQ. When we play good teams he is overmatched.
Brickus Gill Moore Clark
They should get as many minutes as Ash can find for them.
Ash needs to compliment them with the rest of the players based on who is productive that day, match-ups, foul trouble etc..... the rest of the team should not take minutes from those 4.
One player that still intrigues me is Ayinde. He is the most explosive player in the program still and it isn’t even close. However, his carelessness with the basketball must be fixed or he will never become the player he could have been. Although disappointed in his play I am not ready to give up on him yet.
Ash has to find a way to blend the rest of the team around those 4 is the only way to get the most out of this team. IMO.

How many times did Drexel have shot clock violations yesterday? Might have been 4 or 5 or so it seemed? Shutting down the Drexel O by the La Salle D during major stretches was very nice to watch. Hope the team keeps this up.

Kimborough just isn't good I am thinking (certainly hoping) he is better than 0 rebounds in 21 minutes as shown in the Drexel game. Though never an A 10 star caliber guy seems like he has certainly brought more in the past. I think he is capable of better and can help the team.

The Ray discussion aside...it's interesting how much has changed with their roster entering this season. This freshmen and sophomore class should be fun to watch develop. Fingers crossed!
