I don't recall ever getting a "woody" over Duquesne, but thank you for your interest in the happenings of my groin region. Villanova typically carries a number of walk-ons on their roster - they had 4 in 2018 when they won the National Championship - and a few other "practice players" not on the "official roster". La Salle had 3 walk-ons a couple of years ago in G's last season. I wouldn't necessarily assume something slimy is going on with those numbers. the difference being, not one of those villanova or la salle walk-on's had d-1 offers. four out of the five walk-ons on duquesne's rosters did. is duquesne so wonderful that they passed up a free ride to go there and pay their own way? You are incorrect. Walk-on Jaylen Cole-Williams (a 4.0 student in high school, by the way), had no D1 offers and chose to walk-on at Duquesne after a prep year. Walk-on Noah Buono was a walk-on at Rider with no D1 offers, transferred to D3 Ramapo for a year and then to walk-on at Duquesne. Not sure about the other 3 walk-ons (or whether any of the ones at La Salle or Villanova had offers as you state), but clearly your statement that 4 out of 5 had other D1 offers is wrong.

Took a while. I finally figured out this was Jim Harding. glorydays : + 2 ( extra credit ) Jim Harding coached the Explorers one season 1967 - 68, garnering the Program a two year post-season play suspension / sanction from the NCAA.

Duquesne does seem to hire slimy coaches. Actually, we could use a little slime in our program instead of having to put up with this forever: OVERALL LEAGUE 2019-20 A-10 15 15 .500 6 12 .333 Ashley Howard (15-15) 2018-19 A-10 10 21 .323 8 10 .444 Ashley Howard (10-21) 2017-18 A-10 13 19 .406 7 11 .389 John Giannini (13-19) 2016-17 A-10 15 15 .500 9 9 .500 John Giannini (15-15) 2015-16 A-10 9 22 .290 4 14 .222 John Giannini (9-22) 2014-15 A-10 17 16 .515 8 10 .444 John Giannini (17-16) 2013-14 A-10 15 16 .484 7 9 .438 John Giannini (15-16) 2012-13 A-10 24 10 .706 11 5 .688 John Giannini (24-10) 2011-12 A-10 21 13 .618 9 7 .563 John Giannini (21-13) 2010-11 A-10 15 18 .455 6 10 .375 John Giannini (15-18) 2009-10 A-10 12 18 .400 4 12 .250 John Giannini (12-18) 2008-09 A-10 18 13 .581 9 7 .563 John Giannini (18-13) 2007-08 A-10 15 17 .469 8 8 .500 John Giannini (15-17) 2006-07 A-10 10 20 .333 3 13 .188 John Giannini (10-20) 2005-06 A-10 18 10 .643 10 6 .625 John Giannini (18-10) 2004-05 A-10 10 19 .345 5 11 .313 John Giannini (10-19) 2003-04 A-10 10 20 .333 5 11 .313 Billy Hahn (10-20) 2002-03 A-10 12 17 .414 5 11 .313 Billy Hahn (12-17) 2001-02 A-10 15 17 .469 6 10 .375 Billy Hahn (15-17) 2000-01 A-10 12 17 .414 5 11 .313 Speedy Morris (12-17) 1999-00 A-10 11 17 .393 5 11 .313 Speedy Morris (11-17) 1998-99 A-10 13 15 .464 8 8 .500 Speedy Morris (13-15) 1997-98 A-10 9 18 .333 5 11 .313 Speedy Morris (9-18) 1996-97 A-10 10 17 .370 5 11 .313 Speedy Morris (10-17) 1995-96 A-10 6 24 .200 3 13 .188 Speedy Morris (6-24) 1994-95 MW Coll 13 14 .481 7 7 .500 Speedy Morris (13-14) 1993-94 MW Coll 11 16 .407 4 6 .400 Speedy Morris (11-16) A pretty miserable legacy following the mid-1940s to 1992! 60% of the time we are sub .500 every time.

UMass almost broke 100 points in their first game of the season. I have no idea how we are going to stop Tre Mitchell on Wednesday. He had 31 points.

I am worried about us containing Drexel much less Tre Mitchell and UMass.

I had no idea why some A10 fans had high expectations for them back in the fall. So far they lost 3 Q4 games already. Yikes!

Yikes! their top 6 have some decent talent but there's a huge dropoff after that. lsu transfer james bishop is a stud. coaching appears to be an issue. the fact that he lost 3 straight games to fordham last year should have raised some eyebrows.

They definitely have talent. Bishop is an all A10 caliber player and they have a decent starting 5. There are just so many holes in their game between their defense, turnovers, shot blocking, 3PT shooting, lack a of true PG and limited depth. Their roster is a complete mess. It's only Jamion Christian's second season so it'll take time.

I was surprised to see Drexel laying 2.5 to Saint Joes, even with SJU just coming of quarantine.

Drexel won by four. Daly went for 30, but man he gives off some weird vibes. Just ignoring his teammates out there.

saint louis is really, really good. i'm a huge fan of javonte perkins. it's a joke they're not ranked yet but them and richmond are the first two out so good chance that changes when the next rankings come out.

How they won this game committing 21 turnovers to NC State's 8 is beyond me. NC State had 9 blocks in the game too. SLU looked like us the first half with just throwing the ball away and getting chewed up inside. I wish I had tuned into more of the second half...may shuffle through the replay on ESPN+.

Saint Louis is for real, I think they easily walk away with the A10 title. It's hard to find a flaw in their game given the 1st half was sloppy but those last 7 minutes they were outstanding.
Also, SJU while improved over last season is an absolute mess. They don't have a true PG right now, their entire offense is centered around Daly and shooting 3s and their defense is terrible. There offense probably gets better as their bench is young but their defense is fundamentally flawed from coaching schemes to the players. It isn't even the least bit surprising their defense is bad given his time with the Sixers.

URI seems to be preforming well below expectations. Lost to Davidson convincingly, last night. The times ive watched them on tv, it seems Fatts Russell is really hurting them. He may be the most over hyped player in the country. I think people are just enamored with his name. But URI has big problems. They need to greatly reduce his minutes and if they want to make noise in conference play.

Richmond had a tougher than expected time with Loyola Chicago last night. I watched the 2nd half and saw a 20 point lead by Richmond get completely eroded. Loyola started hitting 3s and closing the gap and Richmond got sloppy while Loyola stayed poised.

His coach said he was gassed. Also played him 33 minutes. I misspoke. His minutes arent the issue. Him trying to lead his team in shots and scoring is. Theyre a better with him as a true pg and facilitator. Sheppard is a better scoring guard imo
