In typical fashion, the alums spam the message board their disgust instead of emailing someone who can help...

In predictable La Salle fashion, the link to purchase the stupid pack doesn't work. Why the hell do people want a shirt with the mascot with a mask on? This is some stupid shit. Selling masks and images of masks is actually some kind of a boon right now. If you think it's all stupid don't buy one and you can be your own kind of trendsetter.

Who’s ordering the other Big 5 mascots (or at least Saint Joseph’s of Pennsylvania) wearing La Salle gear? I’d actually consider putting up money for that.

I'm pretty sure I have a rep as blindly defending the university most of the time but come on ... the fact that "in typical fashion" can even be used here because this sort of thing frequently happens is the problem.

When did Explorer Town become the free website testing team for the Athletics department?

When did Explorer Town become the free website testing team for the Athletics department? Maybe valid but some of you are always volunteering to point out what's broken. This fulfills the message board's purpose for some, to just consistently rag on us. You're even participating in the actual focus groups so for you to take this stance that we should begrudge them your inputs is hypocritical. But most of the board's voices have been silenced by the vocal critics. How we had a schedule drop go untalked about for over 12 hours but it only took 12 minutes to call a pretty standard initiative a stupid approach to a failure. I have to tell you when I find this appalling. There are others who probably would think the same but have become so distanced from the board because you can only take so much toxicity for so long.

I didn't call out the broken link. Didn't even know it was broken until another person posted that. I actually posted the story on here so people could see what was being offered if they wanted to partake and didn't get an email blast about it. Yeesh...talk about toxicity.

I had interpreted you to mean we ought to have someone on the payroll for all of the consulting and troubleshooting. I realize now it must have been some level of sarcasm.

More importantly...my question about wondering whether them offering these cutouts means no in-person attendance at home games still stands.

More importantly...my question about wondering whether them offering these cutouts means no in-person attendance at home games still stands. Can’t imagine they will. If anything it’d probably be students only. And even that I doubt (especially because there’s basically no students on campus at present)

Let’s please not turn this into another thread about COVID and the policy responses to it. If the attendance policy for basketball is announced, of course we can react to what it means, but we just need to be mindful of keeping it confined to that, given where similar discussions have gone in the past.

As a season ticket holder I received two surveys asking about interest in attending home games this season. On Friday I received a call from the Athletic Department asking if I was interested in attending home games. The crowd will obviously be smaller and everyone must follow the social distancing and mask rules. So it appears that La Salle is trying to make the best of it for fans.
Hope that clears up some misconceptions.

Policy aside, if he’s such a proud alumnus why was he wearing an Eagles jersey at the La Salle-Villanova game and not a La Salle sweatshirt? Fuck him

Hope that clears up some misconceptions. I also received a survey. No call though. I did hear at a meeting last Thursday that the plans are for 750 students to be back living on campus for the spring semester. As much as I'd love to be at the games as a season ticket holder. I almost feel like, if they have limited capacity, the students should be there and maybe this is a way to build student engagement in the program since it will likely be the only thing to do on campus for them.

Philly just announced new restrictions where all colleges have to be virtual until Jan 1. Does this include the basketball team too...meaning they can't be on campus to play and practice? I guess St. Joe's can just cross City Line and go into Montgomery County, but does this put a hold on La Salle (and Drexel and Temple)?
