1 - win the A10 Regular Season title 2 - win the A10 Tournament
You can only have 1, which would you prefer? I personally think winning the A10 regular season is more of an accomplishment, but winning the tourney is probably more thrilling. Therefore, give me the tournament.

Tournament. It's our only guaranteed shot to the Big Dance, and I'm distrustful of the selection committee.

I am not really concerned with the selection committee snub. But I think the regular season title will probably dance, and with a better seed, than an upstart tournament winner, because of the selection committee's unusual bent toward total season performance, particularly the RPI.
Going into the tournament as a "#1 seed favorite" and then losing it would just not sit well with certain people. As much as Dr G and I would try to oversell the fact that we "won" the Atlantic 10, that is tarnished if we end up handing it off in March to some upstart. I too would rather win the tournament and "lock it up" as they say.
By the same token, I would much rather be in the final four than a #1 seed. Much rather be in the finals than a top two finisher in our league. I appreciate regular season standings, but the tourney counts for a lot more.

Tournament. Better to finish strong for seeding purposes and it would be a lot more fun.

Tournament. We'd get huge national exposure, especially Sunday afternoon on CBS.

Just had a nice thought.
If we are in the A-10 finals (and the rest of the reg season goes well) we're probably sitting comfortably IN the tournament. That would be such a fun game to watch then knowing we're in without any added stress.

It's the ONLY way I think I could handle watching that game because if it came down to all our chips in one game I might literally have a stroke.

Absolutely A-10 tourney. We'd get that Sunday showcase on CBS and would give our team experience and momentum going into the Big Dance

I'd rather win the regular season title. I think that gives us a bigger seed, and the A10 is so deep this year, it'd be amazing accomplishment. Anyone can catch fire and win the A10 tournament (it happens every year) so I feel like we'll get more respect by seeing the regular season champ.

One potential drawback of winning the A10 Tourney would be that a watch party on the big screens at Gola with the team wouldn't be possible. I've always dreamed of seeing our guys and students with the camera shot when their name comes up on the bracket and the place going wild. With the great student turnout we've had this year and the long drought ending it would be like a circus and make for great television. But beggars can't be choosers and I'll take the invite any way I can get it at this point. Winning the A10 reg season and losing in Semi finals is nothing to sneeze at, however.

Not a drawback. the selection show is still enticing, because we would find out whether or not we have a home game at Wells Fargo or a good draw like Notre Dame.
I would expect a second round matchup to be set up for us to play a strong local "rival" like Villanova or Pittsburgh. Now, I'm really getting ahead of myself.

Definitely the tourney. I think it's more prestigious and it would get us a lot more media attention which is great for recruiting.

Plus, unless we're like 25 and 7 and lost in the A-10 title game, I could do without 7 more panic-inducing hours until the Selection show. At least if we won, we'd know at 2:00 or so that we were definitely in.

Yes, the selection show is a side show compared to the show that would be going on if we locked it up.
For real life example, Rather be Bonaventure last year than Temple. Everyone remembers the 2012 Bonnies and how they won. Everyone thinks of Temple as the coulda shoulda team that exited early when the games started to count.
