Boom!
2021 @teamfinalhoops wing Daeshon Shepherd just committed to La Salle, a source tells @rivals .
Nice addition with the local wing that can play many spots and will bring toughness to the A10 program.

At a comparable stage of his development, the Shepard kid videos remind me of Donte DiVincenzo in his Jr. year at Salesianum. Please know I am not comparing him to the Donte that dropped 31 on Michigan in the 2018 NCAA finals. Looking at the same kind of skill set at the same stage of development.
I wonder if that if Coach Howard thinks the same way??

Ash has added a few lefties lately who look like they can slash and finish and hit the J.

Ash has added a few lefties lately who look like they can slash and finish and hit the J. Shepard looked like he was shooting and blocking shots with his right hand in the videos. Is he ambidextrous?

Rapid Charles knows that I pay attention to players' hair. Donte has always kept his hair in kind of a semi buzz cut. I would like to see Explo redhead Christian Ray sport a 1970's Bill Walton hairdo. Another 1970's redhead who had the nice flowing hair was Dave Cowens. My father used to say "redheads ain't human". As far as hair goes.....there will never be another Darnell Hillman.

La Salle Explorers 2021 NCAA National champions confirmed I think Daeshon will be involved in trying to win a Catholic title for Archbishop Wood in 2021. The NCAA title will have to wait.

Very excited to see Daeshon Shepherd commit to La Salle. I've been following him from the first game of his FR season. I always thought he was the most talented kid on the Wood roster at the time. Not the best player. He is an athletic FREAK. Glad to see he's listed at 6-6 in most services. He needed to develop his ball-handling and 3 point shoot. Good news is he's doing a great job on working on those two phases of his game. This will separate him from others players come 21-22 season.
On defense, he's one of those players Tom Gola used to mention. 6-5 to 6-7 who can guard any of the five guys on the court most nights. I see him really excelling with "Help Defense" just with Anwar Gil. He will block your shot from behind. He also will wreck havoc on the press.
I spoke with a HS Head Coach who said " he has a motor and picked the right guy in Ash to get everything out of him."
As for the video, that was what 6 OT's? Check out his stats when HE was the MAN. They are out there. What I get a kick out of was watching Kenny Johnson standing along the wall behind the baseline. It's highly unusual to hear or see an Assistant say something during a game especially to someone he is recruiting. It was such an outstanding game that Kenny was really get catch up in the excitement. Many times, he yelling something encouraging. You could see he loved what he saw. Kyle and Ash were also there that night.

Like the PCL pickup. Have seen many WCAC games and hope we keep the mojo working there and in Philly.
