Everyday BP is adding new games. I am like a kid seeing what he is going to put up next.
One thing I didn't realize was Craig Conlin and Milko Lieverst were on the floor together for one season. I had totally forgotten that. 32 years will do that.
I wish there were more pre-1986 games out there for the Big 5.

Give me 1969 La Salle vs Villanova and I'm in heaven. No question, the most compelling La Salle game I have ever attended. (just as an aside, did I ever discuss the Spencer Haywood game that same month?? Just kidding, jellybean...)

That was a great game but the most compelling game for me was the game against Villanova in 1971 right after Durrett went down with the knee injury and the short-handed team pulled out an amazing victory. Don't know if that game was televised. Would enjoy seeing any game from 68 through 81.

wonder if any of the championship games during the Gola era were televised and are stored somewhere.

that florida state game was unbelievable.
re-watched the loss to southern miss in the nit final yesterday. i must have blocked out how painful that loss was. forgot that they had a legitimate shot to tie or win it in the last 15 seconds. it was a shame because if larry koretz or tim legler have even average shooting games, they win that game by 10 pts. amazing performance by lionel. he is probably the smartest, most efficient and composed la salle player i ever saw.

Interview with Durrett from early 90s along with some footage of his playing career
Says Nova stopped recruiting him after they signed Porter. Asked La Salle if they played Nova (so he could get revenge). When they said yes, he signed.

Never saw that Durrett interview before. It brings back that thread of a couple months back of your all time La Salle starting five...
Anybody remember Ken Durrett, first baseman, in intramural softball??

Anybody remember Ken Durrett, first baseman, in intramural softball?? Ken Durrett softball memory. It was the Spring of '69, a 71er comes up to the plate. Kenny was playing fairly deep at first. As the batter enters the batter's box, Kenny moves up, reaches down to the dirt on the outside of the first base bag, picks up his cigarette and takes a drag, puts it back next for first base. Classic move. I'm thinking is Coach Gola watching or had he already left for Harrisburg?

I was our shortstop for the Hoops group and we took beer on the field. I would put the beer behind about 3-5ft behind me to make sure it didn't get hit by a ground ball. No use in wasting a cold brew. Lol!

I think I’ve just about exhausted my supply of games to upload. For the life of me can’t find the 1989-90 penn, st joes, Fordham (maac title), southern miss and Clemson games that I think I have stashed away somewhere. Think I have wins over James Madison and Dayton from 92-93 somewhere too
if anyone has any games they’d like to see uploaded to the channel feel free to message me

Latest addition (broken into 4 parts) is 1987 NIT semis vs Arkansas Little Rock, a 92-73 explorers win. La Salle came out on fire with Legler scoring 26, Richie Tarr with career highs (at the time) of 23 points and 12 assists and freshman LTrain with 21 points. Poster Bobby J finished the scoring as la Salle students stormed the court at MSG

Poster Bobby J finished the scoring as la Salle students stormed the court at MSG It was a great experience attending this game as a student. The beer was flowing on the bus all the way to MSG. Most memorable moments for the semi-final game: 1. Attended with my roommate and a few ladies from 3rd floor Katherine's. The Arkansas Little Rock cheerleaders outfits were noteworthy. 2. After game we stormed the court and I made my first and only appearance on USA Network... at least a few minutes. 3. The next day I had another few seconds of fame on Action News 4. Everyone in the dorms said "hey, you represented well on tv." To that I said "thanks but you better be going to the Championship game on Thursday night!" And Literally everyone from the dorms over-packed into 35 busses... we had kegs on our bus. We all had our faces painted blue and gold by the gals who had extra paint after painting the dance team! Everyone was so fired up we didn't even care. We lost the championship game but it was an amazing run. Craig Conlin lived across the hall and me and my roommate always apologized for playing music too loud, he was a good sport. Ron Barnes would visit once in awhile as our quad seemed to have a party at least 3 nights per week. Those are the games and moments that you never forget. And we had the short-lived "Yosemite Sam" Explorer!!!

Probably the craziest game in Big 5 history:
La Salle takes 22-9 lead over temple (with Aaron and Eddie) at mcgonigle
Temple storms back for a 54-32 lead
La Salle then wins by 11(!)
Has to be greatest comeback in la Salle history
