Highlight reel for Steve Zack this year where he averaged a double-double. A few nice pick-and-roll moves on display here. Would love to see where other guys are playing overseas and how they are doing.

He's a young man who's worked hard to make himself a solid professional. He deserves whatever success comes his way.

He and Donn Wilbur strike me as guys who improved incredibly over their La Salle career. Probably the most of any that I can recall with maybe Ralph Lewis #3. If he continues, David Beatty could be in that conversation in terms of recent players IMO. Hope he has a breakout year.

Would love to see where other guys are playing overseas and how they are doing. I sat next to Steve's dad or uncle really early on during his tenure. If you remember, he also came in at the same time as another 7-foot player Matt Lopez. He told me that Steve was supposed to redshirt his freshman year but I think Lopez got injured but, most importantly, G thought he could play. He really could. G put Steve up at the high post a ton and let him in many ways initiate the offense. He could pass really well. And a bunch of speedy guards, shooters and his big frame, they could do a lot of nice stuff with him. He also became a really good defensive player. He knew how to position himself really well. He also had two of the all-time great "thank god that was not a what-if" the Sweet 16 year. The first came at the Butler game. Steve played his rear off but was completely gassed at the end of the game. Near the end of the game, Brad drew up a timeout play where his center (I can't remember the kid's name, but he was a really good player) who was already cleared out on Steve, who had no chance at all. Thankfully, Ramon got the ball and had the biggest regular season win in a few decades (and what was easily the best live sporting event I have ever attended). Steve also got hurt near the end of a blowout win against Duquesne right before the A10s started. That looked like it was going to kill the season. But we sneaked in and won three games. But, sadly, Steve didn't get into any of them. What a really good find and someone who really developed well. The Israeli league is one of the best leagues in the world. It's right behind Spain.

Came here to see if anyone posted this. Wish it wasn’t behind a paywall, although I get the purpose of them, it’s annoying to me in this situation.

Your post got me thinking of another 7 footer we had in the early 80's who developed into an NBA draft pick at La Salle, big Tom Piotrowski. Tom played trad center, was a legit 7-1 240 lb-er. drafted by Portland I think.
