To me , the handwriting is already on the wall that the 2020-21 D-1 MBB season is, in all probability, going to turn out to be a complete waste of time, while burning a year of eligibility of all of the players, due to the mandatory Covid-19 social distancing constraints, etc.
Consequently, it should not come as a surprise that many D-1 teams may, as we speak, be already in the process of strategizing how they can utilize the NCAA red shirt rules to preserve, extend and maximize their players eligibility beyond next season, in order to construct the strongest possible squad in all key positions in 2021-22 and in subsequent seasons. Accordingly, what players on the Explorer's roster for next season ( including incoming freshman ) would you consider tactically red-shirting next season and why, in order to preserve, extend and maximize their eligibility, so that " critical mass " for the optimum number of La Salle players in key positions occurs starting in 2021-22 and beyond ?
If it was up to me, I would redshirt for the 2020-21 season : ( 1 ) Ayinde Hakim, ( 2 ) Sheriff Kenney, ( 3 ) Christian Ray, ( 4 ) Jhamir Brickus, ( 5 ) Anwar Gill and ( 6 ) Tegra Izay.
My 2020-21 Explorers active A-10 squad would be : David Beatty, Scott Spencer, Kyle Thompson, Andrew Lafond, Jack Clark, Jared Kimbrough, Brandon Stone, Clifton Moore and another ( i.e., one more ) grad transfer or walk-on.

I think this is backwards. A program like ours wants to strike in the weird year, not load up for the fully competitive year.

I’d venture to say that baseball comes back with attendance limits to get the tv money. Then pro football announces some deal where season ticket holders get a pass on this season but keep their seat for next year OR accept a ticket and sign a waiver to attend with a waiver of all risk. Baseball follows suit to Jack attendance
Then college football comes back with six foot spacing and every other row in the student section and nfl style waivers for non student adult ticket holders. Then basketball follows suit.
So I don’t believe there will be a difference in # of games.
The NCAA will make the schools conduct a ton of tests on players and it would not shock me if they (or schools in non P5 conferences) suspend non-revenue sports for a season. My .02 but the range of outcomes is pretty wide here.
