Well deserved honor for David. Congratulations.
I have to confess, I was not that thrilled when he transferred from South Carolina. Frankly his stats and production weren't even fair. To use a stock market term, he was a 'deep deep value play". His first month or two did nothing to change my mind. Then something clicked I guess and he's been great.
FR (South Carolina) 342 mins (11.8 per game) .254/.189 from 3. Averaged 3.0 pts
SO (La Salle) 799 mins (25.8 per game) .365/.295 from 3. Averaged 7.7 pts
JR (La Salle) 786 mins (26.2 per game) .415/.333 from 3. Averaged 10.7 pts.
I'm expecting a big SR year from David, I'm not sure how many minutes he plays per game but I have to think he gets the most time. I would expect an improvement from 10.7 to maybe 12-12.5 pts per game.
OT - I think something that doesn't get mentioned a lot in the stay-at-home is that now is an important time for players and coaches to work on individual skill instruction. The lack of this will hurt our players and everyone else too. The other thing is strength and conditioning.

david is a gamer. plays both ends of the floor and came up clutch on numerous occasions. congrats to him. it's well-deserved.

It might be hard for DB to get that 12pts a game next year because 1. he will return as the lead scorer so teams will focus on him more defensively. 2. He will be around young players as we saw Ash play freshmen many minutes year..3. IF JACK CLARK IS HEALTHY he will be the leading scorer and Shareef will be 2nd with 12.5 because he take risky shots and Beatty will be around 10 or less pts per game...IMO |

I mentioned it a couple times before but Beatty during A10 play was putting up very strong numbers. I'll have to pull them up when I get a chance. We will see what happens next year, but regardless, he is going to be a great leader and role model for the younger guys. |

He could get 12. If we spread the floor more effectively, he has a great knack for driving in and drawing up a jump shot from the midrange gaps. That is a high percentage play and a bit of a lost art. I will take those shots all day.
