Interesting time to let a coach go...or to try to find one... La Salle University head rowing coach Tom Madden will not be retained for the 2020-21 season, it was announced by Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation Brian Baptiste on Wednesday. Madden completed his seventh season as head coach of both the men's and women's rowing programs at La Salle in 2019-20. A national search for the position will begin immediately.goexplorers.com/news/2020/4/14/mens-rowing-release-rowing.aspx

Is it a full time position? I would assume no, unless there are other responsibilities involved. I honestly thought the men's team wasn't even a 'varsity' program, more like club level since they don't have a league/conference. The women's team does have A10 conference affiliation.

He was the head coach of both the men's and women's rowing programs (and a La Salle high grad and had coached their rowing team). I think it was full-time since both were D1 varsity sports and I doubt they would do a "national search" for a part-time role.

I don't know the coach that he replaced so I can't really compare them but the new hire has terrific credentials. Welcome to La Salle coach!
