Him and ayinde could be ridiculously exciting. Ayinde has been promising. Looking at other small guards recently: shuler, moultrie, Tyreek, I think he’d be comfortably in second place in that list.

I Like it. Like a lot of successful explorers before him, I think he will prove a lot of people who doubted success at The next level to be totally wrong.
Would love to see this backcourt play like Richmond’s in time. I can see similarities.

From a quick search, Jig has very good shooting stats at the HS and AAU level. It will be a new game in the A10 but that stat is promising. If he can release his shot quickly in A10 play like Fatts, this should be interesting to watch.
The list of offers is a bit incomplete but I can see that Richmond offered, which makes sense given their past success with under-sized guards.
As I said earlier, this at times could be a Richmond type backcourt, with Ayinde as Gilyard and Jig as Francis. Beatty and Kenney will get a lot of minutes too, so there's a solid 4-man rotation. Shooting should improve with Clark, Spencer, Beatty, Kenney and Jig Spreading the floor in differing rotations.
A lot of options here with Ayinde (1), Beatty (2) to start with Kenney (1), Brickus (2) off bench or Ayinde/Brickus up-tempo run out O.
The three spot looks good with Spencer starting and Ray or Gill spotting time
The "four spot" could be Clark with Ray or Stone spotting; Jared could play four against tall opposing lineups
The five spot looks to improve with Moore on board and Jared building on his strong finish in '20.
On paper, this looks like a 7-9 regular season finish, which is a good improvement with potential for 5 or 6. Looking forward to it!

I'm going to guess we'll see one departure. No knowledge of that, but law of averages.

Nice get. I'm concerned that we have 3 PG in 2 classes, but I assume Kenney and sometimes Brickus will shift to shooting guard even though Brickus is undersized. Now if they can recruit a big that can rebound and shoot, I'll be a happy guy.

My only concern really is Brickus' height when he plays SG. Will he be able to get his shot off against a higher level of competition that on average will be bigger and stronger than the players he's faced before? Believe me, I'm really happy they got him, but I'm curious about that aspect at the A-10 level.

Just to show how much the world has changed. Back in the day Street & Smith's would have an autumn college basketball magazine which would be national, but with regional editions. On the inside cover of the East Region Street & Smith's there was a glossy photo of Hubie referencing his 26.8 ppg (I think) as a junior. I used to really look forwards to the college hoops mags back then.

Hubie played for the Explos in the first in person game I saw at the Palestra. I believe that Joe Heyer was the coach....he appeared to be not much older than Hubie and the rest of the Explos….
