URI’s Cox has done a good job recruiting and coaching but has suffered 10 transfer departures in the last two years. The latest to split is Tyrese Martin, who averaged 13 points and 7 bounds and was poised for a breakout all league type year next season. Compare that to our situation with Ed and I’d say Ash is doing a helluva job. The challenge now is to keep productive players. Martin’s departure was influenced by those in his “camp” or “corner” and apparently had nothing to do with Cox, who he complimented on his way out. A whole new world for sure.

I see where 6-7 E. J. Anoskie (Sacred Heart) picked Tennessee and 6-8 Kevin Marfo (Quinnipiac) picked Texas A & M.

They both likely will have half of last year’s production and not make the tourney but can tell their kids and grandkids they played for an SEC school.

Buzz Williams is a great coach. Wins everywhere.

I'm with diehardexplorer on this one. Buzz Williams has always come off as a self-promoting snake oil salesman when I've seen him on tv.

Ricky Lindo Jr is transferring from Maryland. Believe he may have played with Sherif Kenney. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Ash made a late push for him during his HS recruiting. I would expect him to be on his radar again.

If he’s interested in us, Lindo would be a good add.
The Mitchell twins committed to URI today.

Here are some additional highlights on Lindo. These are from 2 years ago. This kid can play ball:

I can see why Lindo wants to transfer, he averaged 7 minutes per game playing time. His shooting percentage was 66% and he made 4-5 from three point.

Diehard, don’t be a killjoy
Lindo is much better here. We need a 6 8” 220 guy. URI has plenty with Harris and Toppin, not to mention the Mitchell twins.
Fit is bueno in Olney.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Agreed, on paper he seems like a better fit here. We will see what his options are though.

Rhody has at least 6 guys in the front court when Lindo becomes eligible. I would be surprised if Rhody was a factor with him.

Does Forrest have to sit out a year? I know there was some talk of the NCAA allowing transfers to play right away.
