Ed' thread is long enough, so I figured I'd start the Jeff Goodman transfer thread with this tweet from about 5:30 pm (et), and the list has grown since. 4 Wichita State players entered the portal today.

What's the over/under number for D1 transfers? Guessing more than last year, so I'll put the o/u at 700 and take the over.

What's the over/under number for D1 transfers? Guessing more than last year, so I'll put the o/u at 700 and take the over. That's roughly 15% of all Div. 1 men's basketball players or put another way, for every college team of 13 scholarship players, 2 will transfer out every year.

Verbal commits had the number of transfers last year at 997. Don't know how accurate that is.

A replacement for Ed/front court depth? not likely. he's going to have lots of schools to choose from.

A replacement for Ed/front court depth? not likely. he's going to have lots of schools to choose from. Started at GW and then transferred to Q. He would be nice fit. Writer who covers them speculates A10 (i don't), BE and AAC. Wood's 7-0 Seth Pinckney is now the starting center for Q. Wichita State had five players enter the portal and Syracuse with four in the last couple of days. Crazy times.

Goodman has his official list posted with some changes to the setup [br Ej Anosike would be a really good fit from sacred heart as he can shoot and grab a lot of boards. A10 style forward would make this team scary next year. Would come off bench behind Clifton

If they can get a guy who does both, even better.

I believe the phrase we use in these circles are "rim protector and scorer"

Had a chance to watch EJ Anosike play this year. I was very impressed. Would be a great small forward who's an exceptional rebounder for his size. Wide body and knows how to get in perfect position (similar to Croswell) can also step out and hit a 3. Handles the ball well. And plays with a lot of confidence.
I watched him play against st francis of brooklyn. Went in knowing he was the best player on the court. Was impressed watching how he didnt force anything and let the game come to him.
This would be a fantastic get. However, Im Thinking he wants the bright lights of a "power program" or one who has March Madness potential.

UMass Sean East in the transfer pool. Huge loss for them.
Curious to see if Ryan Daly leaves SJU after testing the NBA waters. He's immediately eligible and will have quality P5 school interest.

Also, I haven't seen La Salle popping up on anyone's transfer interest lists. I would highly doubt we are going after any quality transfers who are immediately eligible.

We have one scholarship to give if everyone on the team now is staying. My guess is we are done and holding the last scholarship for someone Ash would really want.

Testing the process comes with no penalty - why not get feedback from NBA people on what you need to work on? Maybe one spots something small you didn't know needed improvement? Secondly, the NBA Combine for players like Daly can be about raising your stock for overseas scouts. Maybe you go from playing in Turkey to playing in a better league in Italy. Unfortunately I don't think the NBA will have a combine this year unless they push it back.So for Daly it's about the feedback.

Letβs get off of Ryan Daly , going to NBA, going back to St. Joeβs, going to another school- Thatβs for the St. Joe message board. All they do is troll this board- so IMO- let them worry about Daly!π€π€π€π€π€π€ππππ

Why would the NBA want an overweight guy who canβt play A10 lockdown D and who shoots 31% from 3 in the A10?

We have to stop fantasizing about top mid major players transferring here. Those guys are going somewhere to absolutely make the tournament. Look at our past transfers that we have had: Indiana, Syracuse, Memphis, Auburn, Virginia tech, South Carolina, Marquette. Cleon I think was the only mid major guy to transfer up. We get guys who want to play, not be 7,8,9th guy in P6.
