All and all, the season was a plus. I figured 16 wins was a good goal for a second year. We will probably finish 17-15 or 15-16. The fact that the A-10 will be a 2 bid league is a function of the favoritism that the power 6 get. Team with 17-18 wins getting into the tournament. Kudos to Jared. He got the opportunity and made the most of it. The freshmen played a lot of minutes and will only get better. If Moore and Clark can come back fully recovered, I see further progress moving forward. Watched a lot of frustrating games but also some good ones. Team played hard. On to Brooklyn.

He's not whining -88 is just stating his opinion that others on this board may agree with. I got the same crap from this board when I told everyone you can’t win with the way Jordan Price plays and had everyone just go nuts. I want us to be better than we are and not be happy scraping by a 6 win team. Guys like Espresso just sit back with Pom Poms and gives no basketball opinion because he doesn’t know anything. If people want to rejoice over the win today that is fine. I just know we have a lot of work to do to be a factor in this conference. However those who don’t wave those Pom Poms are constantly attacked.. Others are called trolls. Only one type of post is accepted on this board.

Maybe so, but i just read through the posts a few minutes ago after watching the game on replay, and i was struck by the total negativity of some of the posters here. Everyone wants the team to win and i know it's frustating at times, but it makes me want to not read the game posts. Too much whining.

Gosh 88, I didn't know that you knew me so well as to know my basketball knowledge. Does being negative all the time make me more knowledgeable or just enjoy the games less?

Because people don't agree with you, they wave Pom Poms? I don't claim to be right and I think 99.9% of the people, myself included think that there's still a lot of work to do. What I do have are my opinions. Lots of opinions are accepted on this board AND argued, but for you to be so arrogant to claim that anyone that doesn't agree with you waves Pom Poms is just wrong to wit: "I just know we have a lot of work to do to be a factor in this conference. However those who don’t wave those Pom Poms are constantly attacked." You get so butt hurt when someone calls you out, it's simply amazing.

Real team effort yesterday with 6 players in double figures. Still have to single out Ray and Kimbrough for outstanding effort.
No such thing as a Bad Win especially in the A10 on the road. Big 5 win.
Observation from wonderful, functional and half full Hagan Arena. Before the game I must have had five security people ask to see my ticket. Yet at the end of the game, one of the Hawk faithful was so distraught over the loss that he went after the referees. Amazingly he got to the foul line before security noticed him on the court. No they didn't ask to see his ticket.
Brian Daly is such a friendly guy. He talks to everyone. He talks to the players on both teams on the court. He chats with the referees. He chats with the opposing players on the bench. Heck he talks to some of the fans in the stands.
SJU (PA) we all know have 6 wins but look at five of those wins. According to Kenpom. #114 Bradley 22-11 #50 UCONN 18-12 #191 William and Mary 21-10 #141 Penn 16-11 #68 Davidson 16-14
Only "bad" losses were to #217 Lafayette 19-11 and #230 GW 12-19.

Good point, they have beaten some pretty decent teams and 2 that kicked our butt. The team with the talent edge does not always win out. Begrudgingly, Daly has earned my respect. He is going to get his. Glad we started to employ a double team to shut him down at key points in the game. I have not been impressed by the rest of their squad. We clearly have a talent edge from where I sit. In my view, historically, this is not something we have frequently enjoyed. To me in a big 5 game you have to take advantage of this. We did. There was an interesting comment by the St Joes announcers at the half. They pointed out that St Joe's probably played one of their better halves of the year. But it did not bode well as they were only up by 1.

I am just getting around to mentioning this. In his post game interview the Inquirer quoted SJU coach Billy Lange: "They're impossible to defend. They're just a great one-on-one basketball team...They played loose, and they made some tough shots. We've got to labor and they don't." I think he was talking about the Explorers given the timing of his remarks. I guess this shows that Billy Lange has it figured out.

For the Hawks to have another shot at us this year, we would have to meet in the A-10 Championship game. The likelihood of that happening is______________________. (fill in your own answer)

someone told me about this so i had to read it for myself. it's comical. www.a10talk.com/la-salle-got-lucky/he should write for the onion. it's amazing how many illiterate "journalists" there are online. i looked him up and it explained a lot. he's an ex track and field guy for the hawks, but his dad and uncle ran cross country at la salle. i guess they gave it to him pretty good.

Frankly, I was a bit surprised to see an honest whistle and the well deserved call. Where I feel lucky as a La Salle fan, was that we have Christian Ray who again was in position for a rebound that drew the St Joe's foul. The St Joe's announcers replayed the foul and conceded it at the end of the game. In my view, your not entitled to non-foul calls even if you are St Joes. I guess you could argue we were lucky to get an honest whistle?

Daly doesn't get the ball off of the rebound if Brown didn't hack the crap out of Christian when he grabbed the rebound. The only "lucky" thing about it was that for a change the refs didn't swallow their whistle in the last seconds of the game. The dope who wrote the article wasn't even smart enough to spell Christian's name correctly. It's only three letters long and couldn't get it right.

Theres alot of complaining on the Hawk board about a foul not being called on Ray on the last second heave at the end.

Theres alot of complaining on the Hawk board about a foul not being called on Rey on the last second heave at the end. They should be more concerned with how they only won 6 games all season and how they ran a one dimensional offense all season.

Theres alot of complaining on the Hawk board about a foul not being called on Ray on the last second heave at the end. luckily he stayed vertical and didn't bring his arms down or he might have been whistled. no call was the correct call. christian even going near the guy was about the only mistake he made all day. he should have ran the other way once the ball hit the rim. p.s. lol at your avatar.
