" ...want to how these guys develop in their second and third seasons". IMO Jared Kimbrough has regressed in his second season. Runs the floor great, though. That's true. Unfortunately, I just don't think he fits into Ash's system. Hope he turns his play around though.

anybody on here who looks down their nose at a NIT bid really needs to get a clue. I would love an NIT bid for us. Sometimes I think back to how insane that night was. None of us were even considering we had a chance at the NIT and suddenly we were in, and a 3 seed, which means we weren’t all that far off being on the bubble. Obviously the next year gets the nostalgia, but that night in 2012 (we were still on the old board) was such a Holy Shit moment because from when we lost in the Tournament (I think to Temple in AC) we had started our end of season thought already and then suddenly we were in, and hosting the game too. From what I recall that was a fun game against Minnesota and a good crowd too, although obviously sucks we lost.

No recollection there, but I could draw a 100% accurate picture of me when I saw we got in in 2013.

The NIT game had a great buzz. On campus against Tubby Smith and a Big 10 team. Big time media trucks. Fans were jacked and the stands were full.

this dunk would have edged out Aaron Gordon (according to Dwyane Wade)

NIT had, under the radar, adjusted its criteria that year to use some better metrics that thought highly of us coming close to some big wins even if we didn't quite pull them off. I was absolutely geeked about that bid. Some of the best dunks in Gola history in that Minnesota game by Ramon and Rodney Williams
