Does anyone know what the story is behind La Salle's #14, Andrew Lafond? The crowd went nuts when he went in and whenever he would get his hands on the ball. It wasn't his first game ever or this season, but they would go wild about him for some reason. Anyone know why? Everyone loves the walk-ons. I just don't know why he didn't have his name on his jersey like the rest of the team. It was like they said..."You're going in..grab a jersey from the closet and get in there."

He’s on the team, he should have a regular jersey like everyone else. Only thing I can think of is maybe because they were wearing the Gold jerseys they don’t wear too much.

Ayinde Hikim May be a star someday. I am ready for this. Fully expect him to be our leader next season. The man’s energy and tenacity is unmatched.

It was good to see Sharif back. He had a solid game with 12 points and no turnovers in 29 mins. of play. He also did a solid job guarding Daly when it was his turn. Daly got his but Sharif and Scott really made him work.

I am still enjoying the replay of this game in my head. We did not just win by a few or play down to the competition level. Our talent edge translated into the performance edge expected. We should take the next one also from them.

just had some time to take a look at the box score from saturday and this jumped out at me. i know it was against a shitty st joe's (pa) team, but our two freshman point guards combined to do this in 50 minutes:
22 points (7-15 from the floor, 2-4 from three, 6-8 on free throws) 9 rebounds 4 assists (against only 1 turnover)
ray and stone weren't too shabby either: 9 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks in 42 minutes

That is good production no matter what.
We need to start seeing improvement against teams like our next two opponents. St. Joe's is much different than Richmond and St. Louis. Saturday is going to be tough on the road but we have to find a way to beat good teams at home.

But seeing steady improvement from the Freshman and Croswell is crucial in closing out the regular season on a high note. Kenney impressed me coming off an injury. And as another poster stated, Ray shows up every game even though it is not reflected in the box score.

Very curious to see how we end the season. IMO, all of these games are winnable with @ SLU being the toughest.
The last 3 games have statistically been some of our top offensive performances as a team. The offense could finally be coming around.
I would like to see Beatty and Spencer take more shots given how they've been performing over the last few games.
