Pretty sure if you name your child Bones it ups the odds he'll be a badass athlete or career criminal by 15%

Coaches and players just had to be separated at the end of UMASS and Rhode Island. Looked like Toppin from RI was heavily involved.

UMass did a good job keeping pace with URI. UMass will be a tough draw in the A10 tourney and should move comfortably into the top half of the A10 next year. They have a lot of young talent.

Dayton at Rhode Island tonight on CBS SportsNet. A chance to see the top 2 teams in the A10 and probable tourney locks go at it.

Dayton opened the game with a 17-0 run. Toppin is just a beast.

SJU of PA led the Bonnies by 3 at half on Hawk Hill. Unfortunately for the Hawks, there was a second half. Bonnies lead the second half 40-20 with 3:12 to play

Schmidt is quite the coach. Made some great halftime adjustments.

Lofton of the Bonnies had 20 pts in that game. He was a teammate of Osun at Putnam Academy. Quite the package deal for Schmidt.

Davidson is annihilating Bonnies in Olean. Davidson leads by 24 with 6 minutes left. Looks like Davidson went on a 19-2 run mid-first half to move ahead by 15. Spread hasn't been closer then 12 since that run. Gudmundsson is 2 assists from a triple-double.

Daly on the sidelines in a boot with SJU taking on Rhode Island. 8 minutes left in the first half and it is a 1 point game. Rhode Island is playing down to the Hawks.

Dayton ranked #5 this week. A couple interesting points for President's Day because I'm bored: - Dayton is the first A10 team to be in the Top 10 for 5 straight weeks since GW in 2006
- The last A10 team to reach #5 was St. Joe's who finished 5th in the final poll in 2004 (they had been #1 at one point that season)
They play at VCU tomorrow night at 8:30 on CBS Sports. Not sure why they are only a 3 point favorite. VCU hasn't seemed all that impressive of late.

First, congrats to the Hawks.
Second, is there a more fugazi program in the conference than Davidson? I'm not talking about the struggling programs such as us, Fordham, Duquesne (traditionally), I'm talking about teams expected to be good year after that only to either flame out in the postseason, or fall short in conference.
McKillop, McKillop, McKillop....beautiful system, it doesn't win in March (unless Steph Curry is the 2 guard)

But yeah...they are an enigma. Hot and cold.

Daly-less Hawks just beat Davidson by 1. Wow. That was just a massive embarrassment for the Davidson program tonight. Blowing a huge lead against that team? I mean I know we throw the term unacceptable around a lot - but what Davidson did tonight against a lowly, lowly St. Joe’s team is the definition of unacceptable on a basketball court. Their fans have to be irate.

Incredible coaching job at St. Joseph’s of PA. Type of performance that makes negative outsiders praise a 1-xx team. Bravo.

Tough league. I would not want to play Davidson in the A10 tourney regardless of who beat them in the regular season. Having said that, great win for Lange $ the Hawks and their fans.

Let's start with the Umass, GWU, GMU, and Fordham's of the conference first. Davidson lacks depth and is pretty dependent on the three. They have 2 tremendously capable guards in JAG and Grady. Both have been somewhat down this year, but those two with Luka and the freshman Korean kid, they have talent there, just not deep and not ultra consistent. I think this might be the third year in a row they lost at SJU of PA. and they nearly blew it against SJU of PA in Davidson going 2-6 in the last minute from the line and giving Daly that super odd 3 pointer at the buzzer.

I don't disagree with those teams. Davidson stinks this year. Something is not right with them. We can beat them.
