even if we took better shots I have little confidence they will go in. My gosh free throws are not good. But better execution with better shots might help.
Richmonds ball movement and execution pretty impressive at times.
Saul and Shaggy have really had bad nights. I have seen Shaggy play much better D than he has tonight.

You can't expect linear improvement, especially after winning a regular season tournament. He had one (1) recruiting class of his own to date, you're waaaaaaay too early on all of this. Bullshit.

Ash REALLY needs to get a couple of pure shooters. Easier said than done, but we need firepower.

Tonight, 3 starters shot a combined 11% from the field (2 for 19). All upperclassmen.

Compelling response, but what if I point out a poster here who I greatly respect had this to say about the senior class Ash inherited and (especially in a mid-major) should be leaning hard on: Saul and Shaggy have really had bad nights. I have seen Shaggy play much better D than he has tonight. Both simply are not good enough players in this league to make an impact night in and night out.

Maybe if you had half a clue about how college basketball works it would worth engaging you on something. All you kiss the ass of a program that is mediocre at best while some of us would actually like to see us be a good program. You can take your 6 years of waiting for Ash to improve the program and shove it. He hasn’t been that great. Sorry but he hasn’t. He also hasn’t recruited anyone special yet either.

Consistent whining about a new coach not turning around an underfunded, under-supported program in less than two years totally screams "half a clue about how college basketball works" for sure. Its definitely the coaching that's been holding us back over the last 25 years in the A-10.

Almost everyone here has been supportive of Ash. Some don’t want to wait 6 years like you because we should see the program get better and better. No one has talked about anything but getting better as improvement. No, what is holding us back for 25 years is people like you that have an excuse to keep giving more time to the program. If you are hanging your hat on 25 years is not the coaches fault you will have another 25 years of the same. You still should expect the program be as good as it can be.

I saw tonight that Ash was running the offense thru Hikim?? When he starts this change of starting line-up this team goes into a bad funk! Is it a on going theme that this staff cant put together easy plays for our players to get open or isolated shots??? Maybe Ash slows the game down. To much when he calls his point guard or whomever handles the ball for a play every single position...He cant have the same philosophy next year...The roster will be the same next year with Jack and Cliff and no shooting...Jack cant be the savior coming off 2 knee injuries and you cant make him even with the other players....And what happen to Ed?? Is he being out class or Ash is not using Ed to his strength...Still have over 11 games left

Richmond came in giving up 30% on the season (59th rank). VCU is going to be 31.8% (195 rank). St Joes is 35.6% (295th) I think when we were having those 40% nights we knew that we would probably revert to the mean but no one's anticipated this kind of a drought in an area that had been showing as one of our key strengths in out of conference wins.

Its definitely the coaching that's been holding us back over the last 25 years in the A-10. Seriously?? Keith Dambrot didn't seem to have any trouble turning things around at downtrodden Duquesne. 16-16 and 7-11 his first year, inheriting a 3-15/10-22 team. 19-13 and 10-8 his second year. 15-3 and 5-1 currently. There those who can coach without making excuses and "5 year plans" and those who cannot. It's not rocket science......it's shouldn't take an act of Congress to turn a basketball program around.
