Who would be the starters? Who would be on the squad? (... or maybe it is a decade to forget?)
Would Ramon Galloway and BJ Johnson be the first 2 in?
(I have seen a couple of these floating around for college football programs.)

Duren, Wright, Ramon, BJ, Mills (the defensive stop against K. State puts him on the list) Garland 6th man. Ed Croswell is right there as well. Small sample size though.

Don't forget Rodney Green ('09 - '10 was his last season IIRC, so he just makes the cut) and Earl Pettis.

The decade doesn't end until December 31, 2020. 2010 was last decade. Decades start on the 1.

I thought the decade was from the year ending in "0" & ended in the year ending in "9".I have seen a few all decade teams thus far all from 2010 to 2009...sort of like the centuries. Let me ponder.

There was no year 0 A.D. The first decade A.D. was 1-10. The second 11-20....etc. I wanted to punch through the TV watching the GW-Vermont game today when they kept talking about it being the last game of the decade for Vermont.

Duren, Galloway, BJ and Wright have to be on anyone’s team, then maybe debate the 5th, right?

Are you telling me that 1920 was not in the Roaring 20's.? To make matters even more confusing, I clearly remember that in 2nd grade (1956) Sister Marie St. James told the class that a decade was 1 Our Father, 10 Hail Mary's and 1 Glory Be. I think I am right. Respect your elders.

(Also, any ten year span can be a decade, so 2010-19 is fine for best of the decade discussions even if you view 1-10 as the true 10 year break due to no 0 AD. It’s not an either/or debate and I’m starting a “Best of the Decade (2014-2023)” thread in four years if I remember.)

Who would be the starters? Who would be on the squad? (... or maybe it is a decade to forget?) This is kind of silly, the only ever decade to forget from the tournament perspective is the 2000s. I can see the 90s being largely forgettable although that decade started out with Lionel making the tournament. I'm taking Duren, Galloway, Wright, Mills and Johnson. Pookie Powell is your sixth man. Price and Zack would be rostered even if they don't start. Garland off the bench as well. Biggest shot of the decade goes to Tyrone Garland although as sweat83 pointed out we would never make it that far if it's not for Mills setting up earlier possessions. That was good team basketball. Last minute score by Galloway vs Butler and buzzer beater by Duren at Northeastern earlier in that season also made the at large bid possible.

No slight intended towards current players. I wanted to keep them all eligible for the next "all decade" team. And, may their best games be yet to come!

Technically true, but also starting the decade on the 0 year is standard and harmless, so that's what I'll do. The team is Duren, Galloway, Mills, Johnson, Wright. If there's a second team, Pettis, Garland, Price, Peterson, Zack

Let's make this interesting.....who would be the pick for NON-TRANSFERS? This rules out Pookie, Pettis, Garland, Galloway, BJ, etc.)

I am going to go with BJ Ramon J Wright Duren Jack Clark I think you need to have played more than 9 games in the time-span to be included on the list.

Amazingly, Clark is 41.0% from the arc and has 10.6ppg but only one career start! I'll reiterate what I said before, Clark and Croswell and company will be very much in consideration for the 2020's all decade team.

Conceivable Clark will have 4 more years right? He'd have to get a hardship waiver for a sixth year. He was close to the games limit last year, forget what the final determination was, but I think he could have been considered a redshirt. Normally, you get 5 years to play 4.

He was definitely under the limit last year. Not sure of precedence for those six years, but doubt we'll ever find out. The way he's growing and with his stroke, he'll be getting paid by some pro league soon enough if he makes a good recovery. I assume he'll graduate well before his eligibility runs out.

Duren BJ Galloway Wright Price
Hard to argue with those guys. Throw garland and zack in but obviously the sweet 16 team was the team.
Honorable mention Cleon Amar stukes Mills
