Looking forward to watching this game tonight. Really enjoy the competitiveness of the A 10 this year. I think Butler goes down.

Root for Butler since we beat them.

flipping through some of the computer projections for the A10, I don't recall seeing any of them putting anyone as 12-4 at the end of the year. 11-5 might be enough for 1st place with tie breakers. Right now we have the benefit of wins over 2 of the likely contenders.
Lots of hoops left to play, but everyone is at risk for a loss every night
In this case I think we want SLU to win for A10 standings/tie breakers, but we want Butler for RPI purposes

IMO, these are two most complete teams in the a10 and St. Louis is whacking them.

The a10 is WIDE open. Butler & VCU are coming back to the pack. Brooklyn is going to be a survival test.

we are basically a half game behind VCU and Butler right now, a full game behind Charlotte and XU when factoring in the tie breakers. It looks a little bleak when you see us listed in 8th place, but keep in mind our 2nd half schedule is much more favorable than the first half. if we can be 5-3 through a brutal first half that saw us play 6 of the top 8 teams right now I'd say that's really good

La Salle has had one of the tougher early season schedules in the conference. Many of these other teams ahead of us hasve played the Fordham's, Duquesne's, and Rhode Island's, We just need to stay consistent and steal a game or even better two to make some noise.

Agreed, but hard to believe that St. Louis lost to Rhody at home. This is a brutal conference this year and you cannot afford to take nights off regardless of the opponent.

Trouble is, we may have already "stolen" our two games. UMass definitely stole on from us of course. That being said, I would rather lose at home to UMass than URI or some of the others. everyone is going to lose at home once in league play, key is to lose to the best possible teams and I think we've done that. We should be able to defend Gola the rest of the way. Plus, I don't really consider any of our remaining opponents as steaking any wins. I think we're a better team than everyone we play so long as the effort and focus is there. The losses will happen because there will be a play or two we don't make but we will probably get a couple wins that way as well. Regardless, I fully expect this team to be out for bear on Saturday. Hopefully we ge tone of those super-hot starts like we had early in the season and jump out real fast on them. Would do wonders for the confidence in the game especially on the road.
