Kinda admitting you have no desire to go through a proper building process right there, no?

If we're giving gold stars for signature wins, I would hope it's more than Dan Hurley's UConn. This isn't Calhoun's teams, or even Ollie's. Frankly, they got more-or-less destroyed in conference-play last year.
I'll give Lange credit, especially because it's much more than we've done, but talking it up to be a signature win is a bit over-the-top.

Whoa, transitive property says that’s like being a top tier SEC program.

So we can't criticize what St Joes is doing but we can criticize Ash based on what Billy Lange is doing. Got it. Ash hasn’t done it in 34 games. La Salle's win vs Davidson last year was better than Lange beating the predicted 7th best team in the AAC.

Yesterday should be the last time for that. This is insane. There are 6 new guys on this team. Gonna take more than 120 minutes to develop something cohesive. I’m totally fine with punting the OOC schedule. Not looking at an NIT berth from this team so who cares how they look in November or even December. OK, 6 new guys. But the ball is still round, right? The hoop 10 feet up from the floor? Same demensions and geometrical spapes they've been playing with since middle school, right? Don't try to make it sound more complicated than it is. They shouldn't look as bad as they have been, like they've never played the game before.

I'm genuinely surprised that a good faction is already at this place, a year and three games removed from Giannini.

This is getting so weird. I'm about to start finding quotes of you guys gushing over Ash.
How did the goal posts move this much after beating Iona? We almost lost to West Chester.

I think the hiring Billy Lange comment was sarcasm.
On a serious note, unless we want to become UVA, it's going to be hard to win when we struggle to score 70 points. Furthermore, the only game that we've scored 70 was an OT game.
It's about getting easy buckets, and open looks at the basket, I haven't watched much of either so far this season.

Our two freshman point guards had nine turnovers. I always recall Archidiacono (sp) when we played Nova early in the 2012-13 season. He had 6 turnovers that game against JR and SR guards. He was not the same player by far at the end of the season So how many NCAA championships will that equal for these freshman?

I guess I'd just personally feel pretty dumb if Howard does take us to the next level and I knew I'd whined incessantly through the first few years.

I don't expect to be super negative or super positive until Ash's 4th year. I waited for the Phillies to win the World Series (1980 version)and the Eagles to win the Super Bowl. I can wait a couple years for La Salle basketball.

I'm disappointed that decent contingent has already flown the coop on supporting Ash. We all expected a lengthy rebuild when Giannini was ousted, starting from the ground floor up, but now we've suddenly lost patience basically 3 games into Ash's first recruiting class. Just feels very premature.

The only thing I am disappointed in so far is that I was hoping that, with the recruiting that Ash had done for Nova, we might be able to "steal" a top recruit early that did not end up with them. Looks like this is not going to happen.

Looks like this is not going to happen. That would have been a huge steal for Ash and highly unlikely as well. Not impossible, but very unlikely. It would be hard to pry away a potential recruit from a National Champion in a top league that gets ton of tv exposure. Nonetheless, I believe recruiting has improved.

I think it is way too early to tell if recruiting has improved. The sophomore class is G’s.
Spencer, Beatty, and the freshmen are Ash’s. Is there an all league player in that bunch? Will be interesting to see who can step up and be that for this program. Without it, A-10 teams don’t live at the top of the conference.

My assumption, true or not, is that his 1st class is the one that's going to set the tone for how he wants his overall roster to look, not the one that'll carry the talent load. Like our best player in 2021-22 is either Clark or not even committed yet, with this freshman class shaping the system.
