It was not intended to be a personal knock at all.... Only a look back at why we are where we are, from a roster standpoint only. Everybody wants to attack Embiid and Simmons when talking about the Sixers second round exit for the second consecutive year. They are flawed, and do deserve alot of blame, but the issue with the Sixers is depth. To go deeper, they whiffed on too many draft picks not named Ben and Joel. TLC, Fultz, Jah, Zhaire Smith.... Total zeroes. I still don't know why they traded Bridges for Smith on draft night. At least they could've gotten something out of Bridges. Anyway, to land this plane, too many misses zap your depth in a league with a salary cap. Drawing the parallel, we don't have a salary cap at La Salle, but we have scholarship limits. Too many recruiting "misses" zap a program. I say misses as contributing basketball players, not as kids, students, teammates, etc.... And I realize we had a coaching change so that also clouds the waters. I think Miles could've been a player here. I didn't think Jamir's jumper was consistent enough for him to have a big role as a shooter. Who the hell knows about Joseph, the kid played walk-on type minutes. That's what I met by calling the class a zero. I'm sorry if it came across as any other way. As far as the Sixers go - I totally agree on draft strike-outs. Zhaire Smith better be worth it after recovering from his injury. Because they could have used Mikal Bridges' length/defense against the Raptors. Apparently bridges is extremely well liked by fans and the community already as a rookie at his new home. If Smith turns out to be a dud, that trade would appear to be almost purposely enraging. (Why?)

Do they still call their gym the epicenter? Great nickname
Actual name, however, is Richter Arena. Team mascot : the " Aftershocks ".

It made me realize how many longtime posters have deleted their accounts. KJMac, hykos. Those dudes went back to lasalle-explorers days. KJMac and I are still invested in the program, each as much as ever. I took a self imposed break from this forum because I felt that it was not serving the team's interests anymore. But neither of us ever have quit on the team or are boycotting as was maybe implied by our absences.

To be fair, I don’t remember a time when this board or it’s previous iteration(s) really served the team’s interest. I will say though, that now jellybean has helped organize donations annually - so there’s something positive coming from all this.

Every major and mid-major program worth its salt has a forum. If you are under the idea that every one of those forums is "mostly ugliness", fine. But this board is not unique in that regard and, in my experience, is actually tamer than other fan boards.

There is a lot of petty bickering and nonsense that fills every thread on this board. It's exhausting. If the counter to that is that most of the internet is that way - then yes, I agree.

Definite divide on this board. You can feel it. One side versus the other usually.

What if I said every pre-’93 (or whenever we consider Wu-Tang official) rap group had a clear carrier and then others / friends / hangers on? Do we all unite or is it another fight?

Just saw that Miles Brookins transferred as a grad student to Division 2 - Concordia University Irvine where his brother is a sophomore. He's played 9 minutes in 1 game scoring 4 points, grabbin1 rebound, and committing 3 fouls in a 78-53 loss to Azusa Pacific. His brother has logged 43 minutes in 7 games, scoring 5 points total.

Without looking it up, or checking the date this post originated, I'd venture a guess that Miles came on board as a Freshman at La Salle in....2016? I recall G recruiting him, and raving about him.
