I'm thinking Flyers all the way. Dayton had split with SLU during the regular season, and lost by only a point to VCU. I think they will win best out of three with the Billikens. And I think they would win a rematch against VCU if the A10 final should come down to those two teams, which it should.
Duquesne will send SJU home tomorrow. Besides Charlie Brown putting up a guaranteed 14 pts, Hawks simply don't have depth to go up there and steal the upset. They only lost 85-84 regular season, but Duquesne had them totally figured out by the end of that one, if you'll recall. I think they'll lose to Duquesne 73-61.
I'm not calling our game because my heart and mind say two different things.

Have a definite rooting interest in all 4 games, which is really a "rooting against" interest. Rooting against VCU because I want a 2nd A-10 team in the tournament, and rooting against Bonaventure, Dayton, and St. Joseph's of Pennsylvania just because I don't like them.

URI down 3 to VCU with 9 minutes left in 1H. Langevine is a non factor today.
I will say that Santos Silva improved a lot from year 1 to 2 and now is a very tough defender. He stays vertical and jumps into players driving the hoop. I think he fouls a lot this way but he disguises the foul by staying really vertical. We should take a page out of that book and apply it to our bigs over the summer.

VCU is about to go down. For how good they have been, they are super sloppy. They turned the ball over twice on 2 consecutive fast breaks. They can't make a 3 either. At least we'll get 2 bids.

Watching the VCU game made me think of Shaka Smart and how he's doing at the University of Texas. Unfortunately, it looks like there's more than a few articles about canning him. "Athletic Director Chris Del Conte failed to give a ringing endorsement of his head coach when asked whether Smart would return next season." Texas would be facing a $12.9 million buyout, if they do. He did quite a job at VCU and it's not like he's suddenly forgotten how to coach since he left. But he's 66-66 in his four years at Texas and the AD that's there now is not the one who hired him. It doesn't sound good.

I can't say how annoying it is when an underdog pulls an upset, and they play the "we've been disrespected all year, card."
You're 18-14, were 16-14 coming into this damn tourney. How much respect for does a team that's barely above 500 in a crappy league deserve?
It grinds my gears.

Texas had a really tough NCSOS and still performs really well in the various rankings. I can't imagine Shaka would be waiting more than a few days for his next job unless he wanted to.

There's no voodoo involved. If you have a mediocre record by season's end, you're a mediocre team.

I'll be frustrated if Texas gets in.
I'm an RPI guy and not a KenPom/NET guy. The goal isn't finding out which team is better on paper. It is finding out which team had the best season.

Texas is not worthy but they make the most money in CFB by a long shot and have a lot of influence. Big 12 is really tough and they did beat UNC and Purdue. They had a loss to Radford. Will be a close call but I see them in a 12/12 game

From Bob Vetrone: La Salle has just completed its 24th season in the Atlantic 10 . . . They have failed to win even one conference tournament game in 14 of those seasons (including twice when they failed to qualify). Heard last night during the Overbrook/Davidson game that Martelli’s first season as head coach was the same season La Salle joined the A-10, 1995-96. A-10 Tourney Records, 24 seasons, 1996-2019 Martelli: 30-21 with 3 Championships, 3 lost in Final, 3 lost in Semi, 0 DNQ, 6 winless tourneys (25%) La Salle: 11-22 with 1 lost in Semi, 2 DNQ, 14 winless tourneys (58%)

I want to root for the Bonnie’s... but Osun I have no problem rooting for the underdog. I also have no problem rooting against Travis Ford who IMHO is overrated and a little sketchy.

Favorite Saints of the A10:
1) Saint Louis 2) Saint Bonaventure
3) Saint Joseph’s of Pennsylvania
I can get behind these finals.

Tomorrow's A10 finals sum up this year's A10 perfectly. Two mediocre teams playing for a bid to the Tourney.
